Quagmire
Hi guys,I was reading through some earlier posts and one in particular regarding the 'destroyed' folder within the 'mods' directory.I started playing around with this and noticed that in the main installation folder: C:\Program Files\eSim Games\SB PRO PE\textures\destroyed-there are 59 files. I opened 2 of them in Photoshop (converting them to TIFF format beforehand) and they do indeed show what look like burnt out shells. I only looked at the T72 and M1A1 models in particular. As damage isn't evident when I play (tanks look new even when burning), I assumed they may work in the mods folder so I copied the .DDS files from the above location into: My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\textures\destroyedI then created a basic test scenario - my M1 vs a T72 then another M1A1, but when they are destroyed they still looked in pristine condition - apart from the lowered barrel. How do you get the damaged 'paint-jobs' to show? This is on version 2.460.Thanks,Quagmire
Administrators Sean Posted April 15, 2009 Administrators Share Posted April 15, 2009 Its not implemented, so it won't work yet.
Quagmire
Ah... that explains it. Any idea when (or if) this will make it into SB Pro PE? Thanks, Quagmire
GH_Lieste
But it is all ready for when it is implemented - except... Deja, are the new models updated in the destroyed folder as well?
Administrators Sean Posted April 15, 2009 Administrators Share Posted April 15, 2009 It would be great to have some sort of destruction/destroyed system at some point, but I don't know when it will happen.
