arnage
Is there a way to take control and fire manually the 50Cal on the M1A1. I am on the SB Prof PE version 2.37. I have ordered the latest upgrade from ESIm. If there is no way to take manual control of the 50 cal, then why has this not been addressed. Best Regards

Moderators Volcano Posted April 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted April 18, 2009 Even better, go here:http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php/M1A1_%28HA%29It tells you everything you could ever want to know about the M1A1 (HA) in SB.

Hodo
You know thats something that always bothered me with the M1.... all the technology in the world on that tank, and no automated elevation.
Hedgehog
The M1A1 is positivly backwards, compared to the M1A2 & Leo2 series. No fancy periscopes, GPS (the satellite one) or other assorted widgets.Which is probably why old school yankie tankers prefer them, less stuff to go wrong.
Cobra
That was one of the realism suggestions I made during v1.15 I think. It has been driving people crazy for years!

Mower
So is there no way to directly operate the roof mounted 50 cal?

Hedgehog
Mmmmm! Necromancy! Â Its a sign of the times The M1 was designed in the 60/70/80s When fighting in a contaminated environment was the main concern Now it is VBIEDs.
Rotareneg
Perhaps you were thinking of M1 Tank Platoon? You can fire the .50 cal there buttoned up or unbuttoned.
