GaryOwen Posted December 17, 2009 Share Posted December 17, 2009 Well, Isby's book was first published in 1981. My hard copy of FM 100-2-1 is dated 1984. If these documents weren't drawing from each other, they were most probably drawing from the same primary sources. Which I'd imagine were mostly Soviet professional military journals.By the way, The Soviet Motorized Rifle Battalion is now awaiting review for downloading. Anyway, has anyone thought of putting together something like the TacOps Military Reference Library? Like a Steel Beasts Reference Library, only something more specific to mounted warfare?
