GH_Lieste Posted December 9, 2009 Share Posted December 9, 2009 If there is a .raw file it indicates an SB1 scenario.The .pln file goes in the same folder as the scenario (but is currently non-functional - the return is much anticipated but not imminent).The .raw file is a terrain file and goes in the appdata branch. As the .ter file is incorporated in the .scn file it is common for the .raw file to be the custom height file (but not exclusively so). The height map requires Pro, and this may be the origin of non- .hgt format height map files. If you use the 'old' BMP format to produce a .RAW height map then this makes sense. Otherwise I remain confused.I have a few 'donated' heightmaps produced kindly by Pro Users from raw Dted data or converted SRTM-3/Aster GDEM data. I also have one .raw map required by an SB1 conversion (and for which the compression apparently was not successful when conversion was attempted).In my .ter folder I have 100s of 'test/scratch' terrain files produced or modified by myself using ProPE. Members Ssnake Posted December 10, 2009 Members Share Posted December 10, 2009 BOTH the terrain and height map files in SB1 had the .raw suffix; terrain and height maps in SB Pro can be compressed or not. Thus a .raw file can be renamed to .ter OR to .hgt, depending on what it is, without the need to actually convert the file. C:\Program Files\eSim Games\SB Pro PE\loc\English (US)\Scenarios\Singlebut they dont show up in the game under offline session / scenarios.by the way i read the first posts outlining the filepaths, but couldnt see the ones directly relating to .SCR files and where to put them.just unsure whether they go into the above named folder or into the "hidden" C:/username/ docs settings... any advice would be helpful.thanks in advance. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have managed to find the maps and scenarios folder but the "config" folder is still "missing". Where do I find the folder where you used to have your profile and config file? Dr.Thodt Posted January 23, 2013 Share Posted January 23, 2013 To disable "UAC" under Windows 7 press "Windows Key" (right of the left ctrl key) + "R" and enter "msconfig". In the appearing window choose the right tab (should be called "tools"), select "Change UAC settings" and click the "start" button. Now drag the slider on the left to the bottom and click "Ok". Maybe you have to restart your system to take effect.Maybe some options called a little bit different than i wrote, because i have a german windows version. Just look for similar options with the same meaning.
