Destraex
Is steal beasts 2 due soon? Or is this steal beasts 2?
PS-SCUD
SB2 is not due soon. Steel Beasts: Professional Personal Edtion (SBPPE) is the latest release from eSim games (That's what "this" is.).It provides the new graphical engine which will be used in SB2, but it is designed for military training on an individual basis. Steel Beasts 2 will be the next true sequel to SB. It will be oriented towards gamers and sim fans in general.
Destraex
thanks SCUD. excellent answer.Crystal Clear..... THats good news as I would rather have realism and a trainer than a game. Its just more interesting to me

PS-SCUD
That sounds like a pretty good guess to me actually. If not 2008, then late 2007.
Garry_Owen
Is there a Demo for SB pro? I'd like to see it before I shell out $125.00

GaryOwen
Is there a Demo for SB pro? I'd like to see it before I shell out $125.00There is an independent review forthcoming at simhq.com. If you're on the fence, waiting for that review might be a good idea. Other than waiting for reviews, I'd say that the best gauge of whether SB Pro PE is worth the money for you, would be how you feel about SB1, if you can find a copy on ebay or where-ever.

PS-SCUD
Is there a Demo for SB pro? I'd like to see it before I shell out $125.00 eSim games does offer a demonstration version (A full version with an expiration date) if you are a prospective military customer who is interested in using Pro PE to train with in your unit.If you are just a gamer who wants to check it out, then your pretty much out of luck as far as a demo is concerned. SB2 will probably have a demo. (At least I would imagine.)
PS-SCUD
it does for a whole new game. but its using the same engine Yes, but remember, it took 6 years to go from SB to ProPE. So another 1.5-2 years for SB2 doesn't sound very unrealistic.
Lone*star49
Is there a Demo for SB pro? I'd like to see it before I shell out $125.00...No, but chk out all the screen shots in post ~ all right you SB pro pe meatheads.. listen up ~ thread Just use your imagination of them moving with GREAT SOUNDS, along with comments of so many that say it's all Awesome!!Take it from me, I'm IMPRESSED as it gets.. with PRO and its 3D engine. It really REALLY shows the difference between 1999, and 2006 as far as what your eyes saw in SB1 and now PRO PE.. it's incrediable..Even the M1 sights, with my unliked wingman 3D pro wireless are sweet, and stable, when you lase, from what I dealt with in SB1 using the same joystick. Hard to believe is best I can come up with for the whole packageDon't get me wrong here, there are some problems, both with my new PC and sim, along with my wingman joystick and getting the profiler to work. But that's because I'm not a PC specialist, I think.. lolLS

Another one will be released at TankSim.com - probably this weekend - and there is another one at "Die, Sim Fanboi".com.If there will be a demo version, it's going to take a while before it'll be released.

Hedgehog
So... any release date?Um well, I've had it on good authority that it is actually snowing in Hell.So should be, Ohh I dunno, 2050 at least.
Members Ssnake
It's snowing over here, but I don't work or live in hell. However, development for SB2 has been suspended a while ago for an indeterminate period. Originally we thought that we could work on both SB Pro and SB2 in parallel, but it turned out that work on SB Pro required a lot more of our attention and effort than originally expected. The earliest possible release date would be 2011, but that's pure speculation at the moment.
