Tacbat
Oh yeah, it'd be the best eye-candy to have animated suspension. It's nit-picking but I thought I'd mention it since nobody else has before.Oh believe me, it's been mentioned before. :sonic:

It's nit-picking but I thought I'd mention it since nobody else has before.Ive never heard this idea brought up before. Perhaps we should discuss the pros and cons of this, and why it can never be implemented...Mog

OnAlienware
About the Leo 1... I never use it. It's not because of weakness; it's because the Leo 1 has no place in my imagination. I suspect it's the same for many American users. The T-72, on the other hand, does. And that's an understatement.
yamato9
T-72 is much cooler tank than Leo1. His "predatory" look Leo1 simply cant match.
rump
In defence of the Leo1, I can't think of a more successful western tank. Certainly in export numbers. It is/was in use by: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania and Turkey. Even the United Kingdom has a version. And it looks cool!-Rump
GH_Lieste
Do tell? I wasn't aware of any UK MOD procurement of the Leopard. We had the Centurion, then Chieftain and Challenger. There were a number of independent developments (that mostly led nowhere) by Vickers. I'm not aware of any Leopard variants in service though.

GH_Lieste
A total of four chassis, only two of which are in 'combat units'. While an important specialist vehicle it isn't really a significant addition to our tank fleet, and is basically a deep wading, light weight M88 type vehicle. An entirely different level of service to that of Canada or Australia or those Continental European armies, where it served as their MBT, ARV and AVLB vehicles, and in much larger numbers, even in the smallest militaries.
rump
Hey, I didn't say the UK was basing their whole Army on it!
