SeanPatrick
Yep, I must of spent four days playing with it recently...Forgive my ignorance, but is this a downloadable sim? I looked at the SAIC website but couldn't seem to find anything except a radar sim and a bunch of hardware.
Administrators Sean Posted December 20, 2009 Administrators Share Posted December 20, 2009 It's a all inclusive package of hardware and software. SeanPatrick
You mean the U.S. Government won't even sell me an M1 chasis so I can build an uber-geeky SB cockpit!?! WTF!?!Looks like I'll have to get busy with the plywood and spraypaint!
Members Ssnake
Looks like I'll have to get busy with the plywood and spraypaint! Which happened to be the two materials used in largest quantity for the SAIC demonstrator as well. They built half an M1 for a driver's position (SAIC simulator) and a gunner's position (SB Pro) with control handle and control panel replica, the idea being that both can be networked for a high fidelity experience. I think it was a 30 ton bait on a hook to see if someone would bite at the IITSEC.
Crusty
I'd be interested to see what it looked like, did anyone who visited I/ITSEC get any pictures? or can point me to any.
Members Ssnake
Actually, taking pictures was prohibited in the whole area.
Crusty
That sounds a bit extreme, may be I'll get to see it next year at ITEC, there's no pictures on their website either. thanks for the quick reply

SeanPatrick
I actually started thinking this through. If I got a projector and a large enough screen, I could even simulate the unbuttoned views. Maybe I could use 3 projectors and that triple screen program I was reading about. Damn, I'm gonna need another job. Is eSim hiring?
