Well its been the 25th of December here for over 6 hours now, so can I offer you:

1. The short version:

Merry Christmas to you and your families and a prosperous and rewarding New Year.

or

2. The long version:

Please accept, with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, culturally inclusive celebration of the summer solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion, or the secular practices, of your choice, with due respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions whatsoever . . .

AND

a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted Gregorian calendar year, 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped to make Australia great (not to imply that Australia is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical disability, religious faith or otherwise or sexual preference of the wishee.
