Gibsonm
Hi,I have a mixed group who are interested in playing network sessions. Some have the “ANZAC” version of Pro (2.498) others have the commercial Pro PE ver 2.483.The “ANZAC” edition is the “dumbed down” version of Pro available to members of the ADF (doesn’t have the Instructor Host mode, etc.).I’ve done some testing and while 2.498 machines can play together and so can 2.483 (no real surprise there), a 2.483 Host wont see a 2.498 client and vice versa.Do all the machines in a given network session need to be running the same type (i.e. Commercial or Military version) to work or can they be heterogeneous? If they can be “mixed” is there a special way to set them up (e.g. 2.483 Host with 2.498 Clients or some such)?(There were no firewalls setup on any machines during my testing and they were all on the same sub net, hence my suspicion that its a version issue.)
Furia
Would be great to challenge a military classroom to compete versus some VU online. LOL we can act as OPFOR. :debile2: and even invite the to our Tournament
Administrators Sean Posted June 10, 2010 Administrators Share Posted June 10, 2010 The versions can't be mixed in a network session.
