Hell_Hound
Shot and I will see what we can do. Aside: I was just checking the site statistics...since its creation, the Anti-Frustration Kit has had 5741 hits! Thanks to all the contributors, and one of these years I'll get some updating done. AARs, TeamSpeak and tactical vignettes would all be nice to have.
ShotMagnet
HH, my intent was to include a declassed distillation of some 29th SOPs and write yet another article for the AFK. This one would include screenies. Copacetic?Shot
Hell_Hound
We don't have any class to begin with, so I wouldn't worry about declassing our stuff.Screenies are good, I want to keep the AFK highly visual to make it more interesting to read and help new folks get oriented. Perhaps we could engineer some 1v1 or 2v2 games, with the intent of taking gobs of screenshots and producing a super-detailed AAR with explanations by the players. You could have text on either side of the map image, with Blue and Red stating what they were thinking at the time and why they made the decisions they did.
Hell_Hound
Maybe this is only news to me, but I'm adding a section to the AFK on how to host through the WinXP firewall. For now it only contains the screenshots, but it's at http://sb.jfahy.net/SBafkxphosting.htm. I'll add the text in the next couple years.
ShotMagnet
What needs to be written and why aren't you asking me to do it?Shot
Hell_Hound
The text consists of stuff like "Click on the Advanced tab. Enter the IP address 127.0.0.1." I'm keeping it to myself because it's a thrill when a writing task falls within my capabilities, and because if I enable your volunteer-for-everything neurosis it'll be partially my fault when the SB Pro manual comes out written in Sumerian cuneiform. You're a gent for offering, though. Go get yourself a cookie.
Hell_Hound
Ok, the host/play-through-the-XP-firewall section is up, except for one screenshot which I forgot to take. I can fix that tonight.http://sb.jfahy.net/SBafkxphosting.htm
GHOSTRIDER_WG
Excellent info you guys.. thank you.. took a while to read it all but I'm sure I'll find it all helpful..once on the MP battlefield.. "if the tanks succeed....then victory follows..." (I love that quote)
ShotMagnet
Visit often. Coming soon (read, eventually) an article on using artillery. Expect to see a bunch of new stuff when SB-ProPE comes out, which will be sometime around 2038. Shot
Hell_Hound
That artillery article is actually one of the next things I intend to add, as soon as I feel like I understand it.The "How to set up your avatar" bit, in section 5 (Miscellaneous Cool Stuff), has been redone with screenshots from the new forum. The layout has also been improved from its previous (appalling) state. The screenshots are saved in PNG (Portable Network Graphics) format; please let me know if you have any trouble with it. PNG give small file sizes and A-1 graphical quality, but I'm worried about browser compatibility.PS: At this moment, AFK2.0 is locked - I'll rectify that soon.
Hell_Hound
The Anti-Frustration Kit port is 98% done. You can now get to the latest version through http://afk1.29tharmor.com After SB Pro PE is released (and only then) the updated AFK for it will be available at http://afkpro.29tharmor.com Warning: the AFK1's colors clash wickedly with 29AR's blue-and-white-with-yellow-trim scheme. I recommend #10 welder's glass to protect your aesthetic sense.

Hell_Hound
http://afk1.29tharmor.com ...will get you started, and it suggests some simpler scenarios you can use to progressively improve your skills. Anything else, post on the General forum and our team of experts will sort you out. PS: Your graphics are going to get you talked to by the mods. Avatars are supposed to be 100x100 or smaller, and signatures can't be more than 60 px high.

Jester_UK
Nice work, many thanks. I'm eagerly awaiting delivery at the moment and your work has saved me from at least three painfully newbie-ish posts.Knowing my luck I'll probably still end up making one or two though so apologies in advance!!
ShotMagnet
If you've come here looking for the SB-ProPE artillery use thing, you've probably discovered by now that what's on the AFK isn't necessarily what you're looking for. There were two versions of the article, I sent both to HH, and the wrong one was posted because I didn't differentiate which one was which. The correct one has been sent to HH, and to those who've asked for it. HH will doubtless update the site in short order, but if you want a copy now send me a PM or e-mail with your e-mail address and I'll fire one off to you.Shot

I'll catch hell in the morning.Give the load just long enough for the links to appear, then hit Stop. Even if the music is cached and playing already, Stop will cut it off.Or you can open up your volume controls in the system tray (they're probably in there, anyway) and check Mute All for the duration of your visit.
