Members Ssnake
I'd like to know as well which Windows version you have; having said that, the CodeMeter program group contains a tool "CmDUST". Run it (while your stick is plugged in) and send the resulting log file as an email attachment to Support@CodeMeter.com so that they can analyze what may be wrong.Does the stick blink in a continuous, repeating pattern?
Cougar
Hi and thanks for the help. i am running Vista on a quad core cpu. Will try the codemaster thingy tonight. thanks for your help will let you know how i get on. the light is green flashing red. that can't be good
Members Ssnake
the light is green flashing red. that can't be good Occasional light signals are cryptic, but normal. It's the permanent blinking that indicates that it needs to be replaced. If it does, contact me by email, OK?

stalintc
In my experience having it on can cause all sorts of problems with applications, I personally think it only has a place in the corperate IT environment at best. You will be better off without it on mate.Sorry it didnt help you, but it was worth a shot!
Members Ssnake
UAC isn't a bad thing per se. Once that you have completed the configuration of your PC it should jump in a lot less often. It's a pain in the beginning, but after a while it does have some warning/alert effect, so it seems to do what it's supposed to. From a security point of view I'd say, keep it.

Members Ssnake
Please send it again, but this time put my email address (ssnake at eSimGames dot com) in the CC field so I can keep track of the request. When did you send it? Apparently they have times when they are a bit slow to respond, the school summer holidays will start in about three weeks in southern Germany, so everybody without children will probably have to take their vacations before then.

Members Ssnake
Replace "at" with "@", "dot" with ".", and you should be able to figure it out:Ssnake @ eSimGames . com. I'm writing it this way because of the spam collecting search machines. Of course you need to remove the blanks to turn it into a valid email address.
