Tacbat
I think you're out of luck. It isn't used very much, if at all in SB.
Koen
But maybe one of our skilfull skinners may attempt to skin this cat,or rather, this ugly duck ?("ugly" because that's what she is now)And yet, YPR might come in handy e.g. for Cold War scenario's,as the Belgian & Dutch army use(d) them exhaustively then.Gazu, is YPR used in Chile ?Rgds,K
rump
It was also used by the Dutch in Afghanistan.
Mogwa
It looks so bad that no one will include it in any scenarios...Mog
Koen
It looks so bad that no one will include it in any scenarios...Yes they are very rare, but I know of one - excellent - scenario that uses YPR:Take Town 84-Single Player Recon (author: Enigma)http://www.steelbeasts.com/Downloads/p13_sectionid/24/p13_fileid/1178And in this scenario, where they are part of the Red units, they turn out to be rather capable ...Rgds, K
Tacbat
I doubt that anyone will invest the time required to reskin a vehicle for only 1 mission.
mpow66m
i like these vech.and put in a skin req. along time ago.maybe if they didnt look like they were from SB1 people would use them more, why dont you give it a try?
crazyeddie
Because it is a really poor quality model ... even with a nice skin it still looks like a box of bits !
Moderators Volcano Posted November 14, 2010 Moderators Share Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) Maybe one day the NL can offer up a little money to have it reworked as a priority; it is a very old model. Up until this point however, they are either not using it or they are happy with the way it is. Needless to say, when left to our own devices we have always had other... more useful vehicles to redo so far. Still, nothing is stopping someone from putting lipstick on a pig. Edited November 14, 2010 by Volcano
mpow66m
Make her look purdy.......
Tacbat
why dont you give it a try? Probably because there's a crewable vehicle that can be used in it's place.
Gazú
Thanks for your responses.Koen, in Chile it is used as part of the Armored Reconnaissance Company. Armored Infantry uses Marder 1 A3 and Mechanized Infantry uses M-113.Regards,Gazú
Gazú
Here is........ is also used in other missions, including anti-tank missile carriers and communications vehicles. I do not think it's so ugly in reality, but the SB is VERY ugly! Regards,
Wicked
The YPR used in Chile looks nice Nice pictures. For the Dutch: since they are going to be replaced soon I suggest you use the CV9035. Thats what I do. Cheers!
crazyeddie
It would be great to have this model updated, the YPR family are pretty cool looking vehicles and there are still a lot of them around.Possibly the worst of the current range of models. Would be nice to see but I'm not expecting it to happen.
