There he was. Oberfeldwebel Stahl stood upright in his commander´s hatch, gazing out over the fields that led to the hill his Leo2 platoon was positioned. His hill. And there, out in distance, ca. 4km, he could see the first glimpse of those who weren´t quite so fond of his newest possession of land. His superior had called his mission "security screen". To him it was just the ticket to hell. And it was about to be presented by an army of steel. He counted at least a company riding up to a small ridge before making a right turn to head straight for his tanks. For him. There was just one thing to do. And to repeat it time and again.

"GUNNER-SABOT-TANK"

"IDENTIFIED"

"UP"

"FIRE"

"ON THE WAYYY"

The enemy´s lines thined out. The rounds found their marks. T-80s and BMPs came to a shuddering halt, spilling smoke and fire. Their places were taken by fresh platoons and fresh companies. Artillery came wildly, angrily crashing down around the Leopards. Shredded in a cover of smoke, they kept firing, firing, firing.

Until there were no more steel monsters to be fired at.

Oberfeldwebel Stahl unbuttoned his hatch. The fields, so lush and green and peaceful just a couple of minutes ago, were now littered with the burning and smoldering remains of 39 tanks and BMPs.

A neat way to say 'no thanks' to hell. One the enemy tank battalion(or whoever was left of it) yet had to find out.
