Hedgehog
We'll just have to practice using our .50 Cal against PC's until we get bombed up again. The AAR from mission 2 in on the TS server in the "In Gmae Blue" channel.I've got a .50 on my Humvee. So with the ammo state on most vehicles, I'll be doing the spade work then?.:cul:The M113 FO peri is cleverly disguised as an M2HB HMG.Sight/turret drift was apparent on the dummy .50 in the ext TC eye view.(Layman's terms: The gun was moving on its own, weird no?)
Zipuli
Video AAR... This time there was so much action going on, that "filming" was next to impossible I spent most my time on map, so there are only short flashes from here and there, hopefully you can follow it!
Gibsonm
hopefully you can follow it! Well I think it conveys the confusion and tempo well. BTW very minor point, there’s a “c” in evacuation (unless the Finnish spelling differs?).
Zipuli
I have been grammar nazied But yes, will keep in mind in the future. Though I bet when Katie does it, you get the "Q" factor! BTW: your mission 3 will be available NLT Thursday my time. You gotta clear our escape route, or we will be in a world of hurt (in between 3rd SQN and enemy... auch)!

Video looks nice. Couldn't there be one observer able to bounce around using FRAPS to make the movie to show the battle instead of you.

I think most of them have been busy sampling the local “hospitality”, in all its forms, since the last engagement.

Yes it's possible, but so far it has been just me
Tacbat
I've played with Fraps in the past, so I could take a few videos from my perspective. Not sure how I would go about sending them to you though. IIRC the file sizes can be huge.
Zipuli
Yeah, you can add "your side of the story" too, it would be great! I can do the big picture video AAR and you concentrate on the action of your platoon, including platoon radio comms (which is not heard on these videos)!
Gibsonm
Well you can use something like “dropbox”:http://www.dropbox.com/as a common “shared“ folder (2GB capacity for “free”), that may help.
Tacbat
That could come in handy, thanks.Zip, another good video AAR!
Hedgehog
I think most of them have been busy sampling the local “hospitality”, in all its forms, since the last engagement. Little blonde Hausfraus or exceedingly large cases of beer? Ohh an epic tank fight, huh? Heres a little narration: SIGINT received approx 0658 Zulu from 3/D: "3rd Platoon, the fate of the free world rests on what our squadron does here today. Remember your training and you will make it out of here alive. CONTACT! TANK! FRONT!" Edited January 31, 2011 by Hedgehog
Gibsonm
Little blonde Hausfraus or exceedingly large cases of beer? Well I did say “all” so I suspect more a case of “and” rather than “or”.
Hedgehog
Well thats Crazy Horse out of action for 48 hrs, at least.Stormtrooper MPs are required methinks. :MP:On a different note, after reviewing the AAR.Admittedly, we have taken casualties I think were standing at roughly 4 or 5 to 1.We keep chewing up and spitting out every Soviet unit we see.How long is it going to be before we square off against a Guards Army? We must be a real thorn in their side by this point.Though I've only lived through the last 7 years of the cold war and never really remembered it and being brought up with the new "limited war concept".I'm beginning to get an idea of the scale of the forces and human costs that would have been involved. In this hypothetical scenario the 3 ACR have massacared 2 soviet mech units, and now we face a third! Not to mention the damage to a sizeable part of central German infrastructure. This really is beginning to look like the Third World War. (We'll be there when the Nuclear orders are implemented.)I hypothesize this scenario would go one of six ways, in order of preference:Allied Forces negotiate/force a Soviet Surrender.Allies & Soviets Negotiate an Armistice.Allied Forces conquer/liberate most/all Eastern Europe & maybe Russia (might be a bit spent by then).Soviets Negotiate Allied Surrender.Soviets conquer/liberate most/all of Europe.Allies & Soviets Nuke the shit out of each other and really screw the world over. Zipuli
Assassin 7, will you be there for mission 3, commanding the last Dragon elements supporting Apache in the delay? It would be cool to have same players holding on to their units =)
Tango29
Good job on the video, Zip. Super to see what went on in areas not close to me. I'm looking forward to the next mission!
Grenny
Fitting the cold war scenario...We have linked a couple of training vids(in this case for Arty).Gives a good view of how NATO imagined the cold war gone hot.http://www.steelbeasts.org/forum/showthread.php?4653-ArtilleriePart I is mostly Planing and orders...the action starts in Part II

Crusty
Just watched the second video, that was pretty intense combat, looks like you all had great fun.
Tacbat
Yeah, it was better being on the giving end, rather then the receiving end for a change.
