silenxg
This is a new high resolution 2048x2048 template for Leopard2A5 based on the default. Half of the template was made by Tacbat, who trusted his work to me. Very kind from his behalf. (Thank you Tacbat :drink:) Here is a first look.. Fabfire
Great job! :thumbup:Would you consider a German Bundeswehr version using this 2048 template and the Leo 2E (excellent Leo 2A7 2048 template) too? :clin:
silenxg
Would you consider a German Bundeswehr version using this 2048 template and the Leo 2E (excellent Leo 2A7 2048 template) too? :clin: I would love to do the German Leo2a5 but with the current model it can not be done with accurate on the details. For example the front hull and the side baskets of the turret. The only thing i can do with the current template is the color scheme of the cammo and some details in the back of hull and turret. But with the Leopardo2E template i can make a high quality skin for Leopard2A6EX like the picture below. The only thing i need are some good quality pictures, if someone can provide to me. Today i have made and a new track that will be included with the file of the skin, here is a screen shot.
Fabfire
Uh, you are right - I didn't remember those issues with the Leopard 2A5 model. As for pictures of the German Leopard 2A6, just check your private messages...
Eisenschwein
Some good references here:www.panzer-modell.de/referenz/in_detail/leo2a6/leo2a6.htmand here:http://www.primeportal.net/the_battlefield_armor.htm
silenxg
First of all i have to thank Fabfire and Eisenschwein for the pics and links, it was a big help.I thought the hull and turret of the leopard2a6 ΕΧ are similar to leopardo2E as you can see in the second photo (correct me if I'm wrong), but when I saw the pictures you sent Fabfire, I realized that they have big differences with the second photo.I can try to blend the two templates but i think the result it would not be very good, so i think i will use the leopardo2e template with some modifications in the rear of the hull and turret to match the original as close as it can be.If someone have similar pics of the leopard in the second photo, and he can share them with me will be very helpfull. (Unless it is the only pic that exists for this Leopard).
