Zipuli
I am going ballistic on the T-72 dirt-wise. Redefine schmutz! I looked at the russian Chechnya pics and got on the mood - this is the result, WIP. I will still work the dirt some and also add russian camo nets. Now I removed the towing cable from the front of the vehicle and attached it to the back, where it is in most pics I've seen about Chechnya etc. Front hull has some track-pieces and two in the rear. Also added russian style markings for guards unit. Lots of mud and dirt. What say you? Zip ps. I am also doing the same for the T-80U, but will not show it
Zipuli
Wicked, ADF as in Australian Defence Forces? I think they're really well done already, looks like they're the latest skins made to the game as their detail is very good! I think I will not get too excited by Aussie stuff, maybe someone from Downunder? Well, never say never - I was very certain about doing no russian skins either... Zip ps. nice pic there
Jester_UK
That is one hell of a good looking T-72 there Zipuli. When you planning on releasing it?

Yes, I meant the Aussies Oh I agree that the default skins are done very well but I just like your style of painting and details. Zipuli
Jester, before eSim releases the next update (I hope) Wicked, maybe some day Priority for now is the soviet stuff as Finn (summer) stuff is nearly finished (need truck and mercedes anymore), and when the next patch comes, I will take a look at the CV90 and paint it in Finn camo. Maybe some aussie stuff if we can have enough reference material and scenarios to play with them (hint, hint ) Zip
Zipuli
LUPUS ohoy! Would you also like to see one with these markings? I also changed the tank's green colour a bit - is it near the correct NVA colour? Still missing nets etc. as it's quite early WIP. Anyone else wishing to see the T-72 from the DDR? RogueSnake79
Pretty cool Zip, now that looks like a russian tank
Zipuli
Some more pics from good ol' DDR, bitte. Nearing completion this one, Congo will work with the wheels some more - and I will make a new track. Now the T-80 and the package starts to be ready Camo nets and some foliage (just a bit) added. The style they are arranged is from the Chechnya pictures. Hope you like it! Zip
Zipuli
Due to the 16MB restriction in filesize, we won't release the T-tanks as one package. I have the T-72 ready on my part and Congo will give it some more detail and upload it when he has it ready. Not long now Comrades! The pack will have 6 skins + track. 2 for russia, 2 for ddr and 2 without markings - the other one being with nets and another without. Here's the new track with mud and the contact surfaces clean. Wicked
Looking forward to them! One question: will you guys also release a less muddy version? Let say a dusty version only? Cheers!
Zipuli
Wicked, Yes it's possible. Nothin more but layer management. Will look into it when the main pack is uploaded. You mean like this or even less? Zip
Wicked
Fine with me I was just suggesting that there are also users (like me) who like less muddy versions or even clean versions. Anyways, it would be awesome if CZ Studios could include those too in the packages. I know, the downloadsize will be even bigger. Thanks guys! Cheers!
congo
OK troops listen up, Congo and Zipulis T-72M1 pack for Soviet and DDR Armor has been submitted to the dl section. It is now up to the admin types to make it available for your viewing enjoyment. This file includes 6 skin-files for the T-72M1 in green colour. The trackfile is also included. The skins are:Soviet: Soviet green colour, Guards unit markingsDDR: NVA green colour, NVA markings (This is made with the German guys at steelbeastspro.com in mind! Thanks for the excellent site!)No markings: Soviet green, no national etc. markingsand they all come with camo nets and some light foliage for extra camo,or without - however you prefer it!The skin has lots of additional detail to make it look like it has seensome combat. This includes broken parts, towing cable moved to the rearof the vehicle, additional track-pieces in front and back hull of the tank, camo nets and some foliage to cover the vehicle's front and sides, rust and of course a load of mud and dirt. Also the markings are madeto look like they are added by the crews and not for parades. And ofcourse the overall detail of the vehicle is much improved! To install copy the skin you want to use + track to your"my documents\esim games\Steel Beasts\Mods\Textures\(theme)\"and if you wish to have it only for red side, copy to"my documents\esim games\Steel Beasts\Mods\Textures\(theme)\red\"The skin is made by Congo & Zipuli, Congo being responsible for thedetailing and good looks of the tank, and Zip for the bad condition it is in + camo nets, track and markings!Hope you enjoy watching the skins in your gunner's primary sight! HeinzBaby
Yep, likewise,I really like the Russian model (Guards, no nets). These will become classics. There is some excellent 'Skins' coming off the production lines from a small group of 'Artists' - ALL fantastic!. Thou SB pro is one of those rare Sims that has fine skins to start with in the first place.
