Some data handling questions

How does SB handle the case where a Mission editor might select a sky texture that other players could potentially not have in their installation? Does it default back to one of the included textures?

Similarly, what happens if a mission uses a downloaded map that other players don't have? Does the mission load just fail? I know the height map is embedded, or can be anyway, but what about the terrain map?

Can't tell you about your first question, I only use the supplied sky textures.

In regards to maps though the terrain map is automatically included in a mission file. You have no choice in this matter. The heightmap embedding is optional though. If someone doesn't have the correct heightmap and the mission designer doesn't embed it the mission will fail to load.
