flashpointalpha
is there a way to correct the speed while driving? if i order to drive fast, it CRAWLS when it gets to roads, unless im in the drivers seat, then it doesnt seem to care what terrain is going over, only slows for obvious reasons like incline hills...
Administrators Sean Posted November 8, 2011 Administrators Share Posted November 8, 2011 Make sure your platoons are not getting tangled with other platoons on roads. That will cause the problem you describe.
Moderators Volcano Posted November 8, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 8, 2011 Right, also, once you get on the road the vehicles will drive slowly until the rest of the vehicles in the platoon are caught up. Chances are they are in the woods off the road trying to get on the road. Once the form up the speed should increase automatically. If you choose to get into the driver's seat and manually speed the tank up then your platoon will eventually get split apart as you leave the others behind.
flashpointalpha
ill have to check that, might be so... ive never paid attention as to where they are... i usually leave them in the rear and only use them as "extra lives" when i get killed!
Members Ssnake
Also, on some terrain the drivers would deliberately slow down to avoid suspension damage from extremely rough ground (see "bumpiness" factor in the terrain theme).A a human, you can drive faster (but be prepared to suffer the consequences).
