W@NKER
More leopard gunner loving! Few days back, I received my Leopard 1 gunners control handle from Don @ afvsim A few months ago, I sent a scrapped and broken handle to Don. In hope of repair and make it PC-compatible. And now its back. And in good shape and working perfectly in SB. and is a must have for leo1 lovers! I'm very pleased with as this handle is what I was used to use. I also got a new version of the table clamp. So the controller is now lower on the desk, making it more comfortable, compared to the older tableclamp, I use on my leo2 control handle. The newer tableclamp is also compatible with my existing leo2 controller. Needless to say its strong and sturdy and built to last, as with everything from AFVSIM. Now I just need a panel for the switches I have uploaded some Pictures of both. Enjoy

aj88buett
Getch- did you get your CVC there to work as a headset? I have a virtually brand new one (sans Kevlar) at the house that would be perfect for this. Did you have to splice wires or is there a more idiot-proof solution?
AKM
I don't know what the inside of a CVC looks like, but a familiarity with consumer electronics suggests that you should be able to find an appropriately sized headset with whatever input/output you want (3mm, USB, so on) and simply replace components as needed. Certainly this was my approach with surplus Soviet tank helmets, rather than harassing the electrical engineers on campus/bribing them with beer until they do my bidding.

AKM
I will note it is necessary to have them do your bidding before giving them beer. Campus engineers are distinctly squishier than military engineers, particularly in terms of ability to withstand alcohol's insidious effects.

DK-DDAM
good thing about it is that it works with the dutch cv9035 from VBS2 aswell so i can use it in both vbs2 and steel beast.... gonna be epic:) cant wait for the new leopard 2 with baracuda though, they are damn sexy, but nothing beat my cv9035 from afghanistan though:)

Marko
I had one of my crazy ideas today. Tank interior wallpaper, take a snap shot of the tank or IFV interior you mostly play in SB. Send it to this company then can make wall paper from any picture. http://www.photowall.co.uk/photo-wallpaper/custom/ Don't think my wife would like it though. Lumituisku
Seriously...  how much do these handles truly cost? What is price-tag between different models, and what would be good to buy? - I'm starting to feel insane enough to actually save to get one, now when I have seen all the great stuff that comes with 4.0  Also... where do you guys get all those switches and panels too? and how costly those are?      that wall paper idea is rather good actually.
Gibsonm
Apart from the cost, you'd need to confirm that they are actually allowed to export them to your country. Â They are covered by MoD export licence control issues.
Members Ssnake
Yeah, but AFVSim has a license for all the "normal" countries. Costs wise, I don't want to speak for them. But they can be contacted for a quote; also, there might be special deals when they are creating a batch of type X anyway or so; at least I suppose it can't hurt to ask.
DK-DDAM
well i dont know if the price have gone down or not.. but i paid 2000 £ per controller. might have gone down or not.

Yoke made in USA... http://www.scip-engineering.com/portfolio/w10-series/ http://www.scip-engineering.com/portfolio/w20-series/ Â ATARI StarWars Yoke works the same way... http://mirrors.arcadecontrols.com/OscarControls/ebay/yoke/ Â how to build your own yoke... http://arcadecontrols.com/hosted/yoke/ Edited May 24, 2016 by Pak1979
Marko
I considered buying a special edition steel battalion controller once there made for the xbox-360 would have worked on a pc and I could have programed The buttons for SB but at 300-euro I decided against it on cost grounds. If cost were not an issue I would buy a AFV controller. But to date the best controller I have use for SB is Xbox 1 controller Edited May 24, 2016 by Marko
