Vati
I cannot elevate it over the horizon.. one cannot even use stadia range lines on the totally flat terrain as you cannot align it to tank.Is this intended behavior?
OddBall
It does have a very limited range of movement. Can't remember how much +/- off the top of my head.
Tacbat
OddBall, your sig pic could be updated. Also like the new sig text, but liked the old one better.

Waiting for Raino to make me a new one. Strangely enough, he's been occupied lately by something else.

I know, but it looks like as if center is off as I can depress it as low to see my hull yet i cannot rise it to range on the horizon.

You can push it only like 1cm and pull about 5cm, so it's intentional.

Try it.

Vati
I did some digging into the russian manuals because I do not belive TKN-3 elevation is modelled correctly based on our M84's TC sight which has more positive than negative elevation.Unfortunatelly I could get data only from the BTR80's TKN-3 installation which says commander can use -13 to +33 deg in elevation. This confirms that russians also used the same logic as we had on our sight which had -8 to +12 deg in elevation (our model used mirror rotation while russian model swings as a whole). Currently in game TKN-3 is useless as you cannot use the sight picture at all even on flat terrain.
OddBall
Well, what can I say. On T-72M1 it barely moves at all.

Moderators Volcano Posted December 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 12, 2011 Waiting for Raino to make me a new one. Strangely enough, he's been occupied lately by something else. Maybe add a "B" or and "M" to the signature then.
