US DCU Infantry

Changed the '90s infantry to a more accurate DCU instead of that MARPAT/no body armor thing they had going on.

Since it's on the '90s infantry the bodyarmor and NVG mount is just textured on, but it's compatible with any scenarios using the '90s era troops. I don't think it's really noticeable from your AFV and not too bad up close.

I can do a version for the US 2000 model if anyone wants it and also let me know if you want the .psd file, it's got a lot of stiching, wrinkles and cloth details on layers so you can insert camo underneath. It's a bit of a rush job, but it might provide a starting point.

Went a little crazy taking pictures

EDIT: Also appears to be no infantry skins area on the site yet

Make sure to "flatten" any layers before trying to save it. That's the only problem I've run into. Also,in the save as DDS dialogue I think it's the first option you want. The one with no alpha. And be sure to check the "Generate new MIP maps" box.

What problem do you seem to be having, specifically?

Edit: If you were able to open the default files in the first place it has to be working.

Alright.

Here we have the 2009 US Infantry model, complete with IOTV (Improved Outer-Tactical Vest).

And of course, what huuuuah-infantryman would be complete without his eye-protection.

I'd like to replace the shirt with a more authentic Us Army Combat shirt.

Now, if only we could find a way to replace the M-16 boomstick with a more modern M4

Nice.

Ah yes, the M-16 musket with 20 round magazine... hopefully we can do something about that one day. Unfortunately that is mesh/model -- you could put a skin over it but it would have the same shape of course, so it probably wouldn't look that good.
