Marko
I really hope we see an improvement in the AI for Attack helicopters. And more SPAAA vehicles. Gepard. Marksman etc. Its only my personally opinionBut i think its an aspect of SB that needs updating.
Gibsonm
Well I don’t know if the AI will change but they have flagged that engagement ranges will improve (subject to scenario visibility settings).
Panzer_Leader
and the Bundeswehr used M-48 too. Thanks Duke. Out of interest, was the M48 employed differently in the Bundeswehr to the Leopard 1 and 2, i.e. equipping panzergrenadier units versus panzer units for example? I'm just curious to know whether its lower mobility meant it was employed differently or not?EDIT: I think I've answered my own question. I've found a source that states the M48A2GA2 equipped the panzer battalions of the territorial brigades.
Duke(911)
Servus Panzer_Leader,Thanks Duke. In 1959 Bundeswehr bought 1492 M-48A2C and used this tank, till every tank unit was equiped with Leopard 1.Between 1978-1980 they re-equiped 650 M-48A2C to M-48A2GEA2 for the territorial brigades.MkGDuke
TankHunter
A netcode that allows the TOW to be fired without it lawn darting right after launch.

Captain_Colossus
The man likes variables. Who am I to say what's right.
TankHunter
What?!63 independent random variables aren't enough? Not for this one mission. I got 46 used now, another 15 by the end of the day, and a couple more after that. If I had more independent variables I would use at least another 12. Maybe more. Its probably a special case, but more would be better in it.
Members Ssnake
Have you tried using the same variable in different conditions and with different quartiles?e.g. in case 1 you use 0 < X1 < 50and in case 2 you use 25 < X1 < 75In both cases a 50% likelihood, but still no identical result.
Eisenschwein
More Randomness ? Combine Conditions, Events and follow Route if Conditions. Be sure to fill all Possibilities as there are 64 x 20 (Conditions) x 64 x 20 (Events) x 20 ( Conditions follow if) ca. 32.768.000 Conditions for one Route. Is that enough ? If you need more, Combine different Events with different Time Lines.....
Rotareneg
Perhaps the random variable system could just be revamped to allow the user to add a list of user named variables? The mission score interface would be a great starting point, as it already allows one to add, modify, and remove items from a list.

Werewolf
Oh, and this is the dangerous End .....Not really...The dangerous parts ar the guy sitting in the TC's cupola and the man in the gunner's seat taking orders from him.

You are absolutely right! Every Tank is as good as the Crew is! (I think Guderian said this in late 1944 !?)

Kingtiger
I don't know if this has been asked before, but a wish I have is to be able to insert pictures in the briefing. Example a larger scale map to explain the larger picture of the battle etc etc.
Members Ssnake
I just finished the first draft for the release notes (took me three days to compile everything since version 2.654). Managed to compress the page count from 52 to 49 thanks to Helvetica Condensed type at nine point size (just for the bug list... otherwise it's all at 9.5 point, I'm not that cruel). Our ability to include wishes listed in this thread is minimal at this point as the code freeze is rapidly approaching, after which it's mostly a matter of testing and fixing bugs, or fleshing out things with more content (=no development risk). That said, you will find many elements from this thread in the new version. Not everything, but a lot.I hope that by eliminating redundancies in the text I may keep the total size of the release notes at under 75 pages ... we'll see how that goes. What's clear already is that it is undeniably the biggest upgrade in Steel Beasts history, with a number of rather fundamental changes. This just as some little info about what we're doing at the moment. Volcano has done an incredible job with new sounds and the daily grind of integrating new 3D artwork and the associated quality control. The artists have left almost no 3D element without a brush-up. There have never been as many new vehicles, never been as many new playable vehicles than in this upgrade. Dozens of contributors submitted new scenarios, map files, localization packages, tutorial PDF documents, tutorial scenarios, and more.
Panzer_Leader
Thanks for the update Ssnake. It sounds like you and the team are doing an amazing job (not that that was ever in doubt). To say I'm excited about the coming upgrade is probably an understatement!
Marko
Great news Ssnake.I guess its time to stop adding wishes.haone more thing i was going to suggest is the approach taken by the makers of Arma 3Allowing people to purchase the Alpha version and provide bug reports. it seems likeA good idea.
