Zipuli
Finnish Defence Forces increase their presence in the world of Steel Beast. These skins for version 2.640 can be found at the downloads section! There are more to come, like the new m/05 uniforms, bridge layers, T-72M1 etc... Once the whole flotilla is ready, I will post them in two skin packs: 1) Finnish skins and 2) Finnish camo skins (without the national markins). Updates and new Finnish skins will be introduced in this thread. Feedback, suggestions, ideas and questions are welcome. Have fun! All skins are based on Dejawolf's excellent templates. The CV skin is his original, it's so perfect that there is no need to edit it =)

Zipuli
The Finnish skins are very well done.i was hoping somebody would make a package. Did the Finnish army ever use the ZSU. Keep up the great work. We use(d) ZSU-23-2 Sergei (AAA gun) and the ZSU-57-2, but not the Shilka... We got a "domestic" thingie called Marksman which is a British AAA turret on a T-55AM and double 35mm Oerlikons... Maybe a Tunguska will do... later on

Zipuli
Skin and turret roof ready... Should be soon available in the downloads section =) The decals file was originally made by NASDER and only slightly edited by me and used with permission! Big thanks! PS. there were 2 camo pattern used for the T-72M1. The other was similar with the T-54 and T-55 pattern, the one used in this skin is the cooler IMO, though slightly edited (like they all are) to fit in with the mirrorings etc. =)

Zipuli
Coming along... In the 3rd image have added tools to the side, a lot more dirt and some minor details, as the original file was 512x512 and this one is 1024x1024... Also the vehicle has some minor changes to represent the version that was in testing in Finland: wheels look a bit different, same with the rear plates etc. Edited January 11, 2012 by Zipuli

Zipuli
Wicked,I'm only doing all the FDF ones and the close-enough-to-fit-ins, like the Fuchs pretending to be an XA-180 and later the Biber for Leo 2L... You spotted correctly =)
Zipuli
Finnish infantry with m/05 camo, both woodland and winter patterns... Induction
Very nice all round! And that winter camo is always so cool. But that AK-47 is still so wrong... :frown:
Grimlokk
Beautiful work zip! Absolutly beautiful! Is it just me, or do the winter solider guy kinda look like a mime?!
Zipuli
Quick update from the Afghanistan front... A desert version of the XA-180 lookalike Fuchs with updated decals showing the Finnish flag in the vehicle rear and the m/05 Finnish desert camo currently in use in Afghanistan. Also added to the infantry skin are the protective sleeves attached to the vest. ...but when did they deploy those CVs? Hm.... Grimlokk, he may be a mime, but once the teeth are visible, there will be no more invisible walls and it gets hairy
Ryujin
Very nice! Wipped up a quick AK->Rk95 mod, should effect just finns if you put it in the same folder as the infantry textures. I can't get the transperency working on the gun no matter what sort of .dds I use, so the AK front sight is still on and the stock had to be filled in. Looks a bit strange, but not much more than modern finns with AKMs. RK95.rar
Zipuli
Oh, not bad! Will definately take a look!EDIT: OK, seems to work! Do you mind if I edit it a bit and include in the skinpacks' next version?
Ryujin
Don't mind at all, feel free to do whatever you like
Zipuli
OK, thanks! Edited the image a bit, added weapon number and put the weapon from safe to single fire. Also tried to look for a workaround for the transparency with no luck... so came up with another idea: camo tape. It looks OK I think... Now only the sights are off, but still the weapon looks a lot better than the stock wooden AK, thanks! =) Edited January 15, 2012 by Zipuli
Induction
Lovely stuff guys, thanks a million. The sights don't really matter as long as you look at them from a distance, which is probably going to happen most of the time anyway.
