Zipuli Posted March 11, 2012 Author Share Posted March 11, 2012 Here mission 2 file. The timespan from end of mission 1 to beginning of 2 is one hour. During that time the brave russian paras managed to dig in the Elimäki centrum while local Finnish infantry troops moved in and managed to surround them. So the road through the town is blocked by red... the Red troop morale there is high, but they have a lot of casualties with them and comms to HQ are broken, so they are static for now. Blue company (minus 2 tanks) have reloaded ammo. The rest of the info is in the briefings for both sides. Currently blue side has the numerical superioirity in both AFVs and indirect fires, but the red side will be getting stronger along the way =) Hope to see a lot of you guys tonight! Zipuli Posted March 11, 2012 Author Share Posted March 11, 2012 Blue side:3rd Bn attacked well and reached the objective, but once stopped the enemy managed to inflict heavy losses (especially when AI doesn't know how to react and say withdraw a bit etc. ;-))... so the attack is bogged.Red side:Attack chopper losses were 3 out of 4, so we won't be seeing those anymore...The air assault battalion as an effective formation ceased to exist. They fought hard and suffered heavy losses.The armour recon company we fought in the end, was also rendered combat ineffective. So basically the situation ended a tie. A russian battalion strong unit managed to burst through the Finnish defences east of Löytty and the remains of 3rd Bn are to delay and stop them. If the enemy is forced to stop, it may just be that the red morale is dropped to a point where further success is impropable, and maybe, just maybe, the russian people overthrow the current Zhirinovski regime and pull out of Finland.
