DirectX10 or vista

Recommended Posts

It works on vista, yes. You'll need to install directx 9 as described in the FAQ, though.

All Vista users cannot avoid having DirectX 10 installed. But SB Pro PE can't use it, so DirectX 9.0c of a recent version must be installed parallel. Since many DirectX components are treated as a part of the operating system, Vista virtualizes them during the installation process so that applications requiring DirectX 9.0c will be made believe that this is the environment in which they're working while Vista as such still uses DirectX 10 - and reports it.

My bad SSnake, thanks for reminding me about that, running a fresh install of vista and never had let the DirectX 9 runtimes install.

Do you get an error message, and if so, which one?

Which version of SB Pro have you installed, and do you have a 64 bit Vista?
