As many of you know, the Wehrmacht in WW2 was quite fond of producing films to instruct the soldiers in different aspects of training (Lehrfilme). "Men against Tanks" (Männer gegen Panzer) is perhaps the most famous. This tradition was kept up by the Bundeswehr and the NVA. The Austrian and Swiss Army produced similar material. Here are some examples:

About the Bundeswehr film. The translated name of the first film "Tank hunter troop" might be a bit missleading.

Its more: "all troops anti tank warfare".

Dedicated tank-hunter units have different means and tactics.

Panzervernichtungstrupp = all troops anti tank team

Panzerjäger = tank-hunters, anti-tank units (equipped with f.e. Jaguar 1/2 )

Well in my experience I encountered the term "tank hunters" in regards to infantry anti tank teams, whereas "tank destroyers" is used for dedicated anti-tank vehicles.

Ah, the joy of translations ;-). If we go with the literal translation we get the the exacts oposit meaning...

Hmm, never heard the natives speakers(US/UK) refer to them "tank hunters"...more like "AT-team"

If you browse around YouTube, some versions are equipped with subtitles and different editing cuts. Sometimes the subtitles are remotely close to the on-audio dialogue. Only sometimes though. The NVA lehrfilm are something I haven't seen before, thanks!
