Ludwigmeister
I've seen some posted requests for game hosts, which I'm assumign to mean people who can host. Not being much a techy I was wondering what the requirements are? I have DSL and about 90% of the time (very few days the network seems to be very fluctuant) I get like 600K/sec consistantly. Is that alone enough to say that I would make a good host, or is there more to it than that?
Administrators Sean Posted March 24, 2008 Administrators Share Posted March 24, 2008 What matters is your upload speed. Standard DSL or cable connections could probably host 6-8 people ok. It also depends on the mission.
Ludwigmeister
Is there an easy/common way to test upload speeds? I only know how to test download speeds. What range of upload is ideal and/or ok?
Administrators Sean Posted March 24, 2008 Administrators Share Posted March 24, 2008 The ideal speed depends on how many people you want to play and how big the missions are.Google "speedtest" - I'm sure you will find something local.
