Dec 1st multiplayer COOP mission

Does that WILCO actually imply that there are no further questions/ requests?

It rolls a bunch of things together.

At the simplest its a contraction of will comply.

And yes as these are orders that is pretty much assumed.

It also signals that I understand the tasks, have no questions and as our American friends like to say "Good to Go" (but without the high fives, hugs, chest slams, etc.).

So one word over the radio encapsulates a bunch of information when time is of the essence and you want to avoid cluttering the net with:

"Boss, I will of course follow your lawful command, I am clear on my tasking and have no further questions." :)

FINCoy CO is in a live-fire excercise till friday. Expect coy orders late friday/early saturday!

And if/when you do train during the week...

Already trained during the weekend by driving past the area we'll be fighting in... :D

Guess that excercise explains all that heavy military traffic I ran into on sunday. Even managed a glimpse at one CV - my training is done. :)

SE Coy Orders would be ready and distributed non later than Wednesday night.

If you have any questions about SE Coy please feel free to contact me. :biggrin:

I'm sure that most, if not all, of my few questions will be answered in SE Coy orders. If not, we can clarify on Saturday with all present. :)

What about Fist Bumps? :)

and where does this OSCAR MIKE thing come from?

Oscar = the letter "O"

Mike = the letter "M"

(Du'h)

Another meaning aside from Gibsonm's is:

On Mission.

Servus Grimlokk,

you tested your portforwarding? If you need hamachi, contact Zipuli, he will host.

best regards

Hi

I not using a router atm, so I don't have to PF...right?.....RIGHT!?!

I bought a new router some time ago, for the sole purpose to be able to play SB, but I never got it to work....Technical things tend to hate me, even my toaster looks at me with judging eyes.

Anywho, it would have been great to test going online before saturday. I'm pretty psyched about saturday, think it's going to be great!

Hi

Depends.

How is your machine connected to the Internet now?

Is there a wire that just goes from the wall to the back of your PC with no box in between?

Alternatively when you run "ipconfig" from the command prompt (DOS window) do you get an IPv4 address of:

192.168.something.something or

10.something.something.something or

If you do get an IP address in those ranges then it is most likely that there is a Router between your machine and the Internet.

Right now it's just a wire from the "wall thingie" to my computer!

Is there like a test SB sever, that always up and running? If there is I could just go in and see if stuff is working for me.

Or maybe someone could take mercy on me, and help me out over TS to see if it's working!

Just to bring that to a place easier to find:

Orders Cdr NBG:

1.situation

a)enemy:

Mechanized enemy forces are attacking north-east from Kouvola, through Valkeala towards Mikkeli. Their point of main effort is along Highway 15. The attack has left the main supply route vulnerable for our counterattacks, and the enemy has tied up resources to counter that threat. At Valkeala we estimate a mixed company size ad-hoc force has moved in to hold the town. They have recently arrived, meaning they are not heavily dug-in. Drone recon has spotted T-72 tanks moving in and unidentified IFVs along with at least one Tunguska SPAA vehicle moving in the town. Further information on the enemy location and forces is not available, but it's estimated they have had time to lay some protective minefields and build some rudimentary obstacles only. They also have a big area to hold, so they may be thinly spread. The enemy should have some indirect support available, but only in small numbers, a battery of SPA maximum. The enemy is believed to also have a local quick reaction reserve force ready to counter any activity along Highway 15 between Kouvola and Valkeala. Strenght is unknown, but estimated being a mixed company maximum. Enemy air activity has ceased due to the weather and casualties during this operation.

b)Own:

NBG is in full strenght with Finnish mech inf coy (+tank platoon), swedish armour coy and danish support coy. The force is deployed north of Valkeala, ready to attack with full ammunition and fuel. NBG is supported by a Norwegian SPA battery of 12 tubes (HE and SMOKE). Friendly air assets are tasked with denying the enemy air superiority, and there is no fixed wing close air support available for now.

c)structure:

BG CO: Duke(911)

BG FO: Falli

FI company CO: Zipuli

- mech platoon A (CV9030) --> Induction

- mech platoon B (CV9030) --> Ronin (Grenny), Stevo

- mech platoon C (CV9030) --> Hedgehog, Tjay, Crusty, OldRavenNL

- tank platoon D (Leopard 2A4) --> Eisenschwein,Ricopico, Mirzayev, Panzer_Leader

SE company CO: --> Furia

SE company XO: --> McCoy

- tank platoon A (Strv 122) --> Regimentos

- tank platoon B (Strv 122) --> Tacbat, 12Alfa, Tango29

- mech platoon C (CV9040C) --> Chuikov, (1 Regimento?)

- mech platoon D (CV9040C) --> Brun, Grimlokk

DK company CO: Kingtiger

- engineer platoon --> Gibsonm

- logistics platoon (ARV, medic, repair, ammunition)

d)Weather and Terrain Conditions:

The first snow has fallen. The land is frosty, so it should not be too soft for vehicles, except the swamp areas...? Lakes are not yet frozen deep enough to support men or vehicles.

The temperature is -5 celcius, and it's snowing lightly, reducing the visibility to ~1000m.

e)Other:

The town of Valkeala is evacuated of any civilians, so there are no ROE limitations in this mission.

After posting I went to TS to shut it down and he was there. :)

Confirmed connectivity, downloaded a scenario, allocated a vehicle and once the scenario started went through moving from vehicle to vehicle.

He is now fine for the session. :)
