So by Grenny's logic:

Drive Sprocket = Sacheinen, diedenmotorverbindetundschaltetdanndieketten

(Thingy, which connects the engine to and then turns the tracks)

NORDIC BATTLEGROUP ORDERS:

Enemy:

Mechanized enemy forces are attacking north-east from Kouvola, through Valkeala towards Mikkeli. Their point of main effort is along Highway 15. The attack has left the main supply route vulnerable for our counterattacks, and the enemy has tied up resources to counter that threat. At Valkeala we estimate a mixed company size ad-hoc force has moved in to hold the town. They have recently arrived, meaning they are not heavily dug-in. Drone recon has spotted T-72 tanks moving in and unidentified IFVs along with at least one Tunguska SPAA vehicle moving in the town. Further information on the enemy location and forces is not available, but it's estimated they have had time to lay some protective minefields and build some rudimentary obstacles only. They also have a big area to hold, so they may be thinly spread. The enemy should have some indirect support available, but only in small numbers, a battery of SPA maximum. The enemy is believed to also have a local quick reaction reserve force ready to counter any activity along Highway 15 between Kouvola and Valkeala. Strenght is unknown, but estimated being a mixed company maximum. Enemy air activity has ceased due to the weather and casualties during this operation.

Own:

NBG is in full strenght with Finnish mech inf coy (+tank platoon), swedish armour coy and danish support coy. The force is deployed north of Valkeala, ready to attack with full ammunition and fuel. NBG is supported by a Norwegian SPA battery of 12 tubes (HE and SMOKE). Friendly air assets are tasked with denying the enemy air superiority, and there is no fixed wing close air support available for now.

Mission:

NBG is to clear the main routes (R, G, B) through the town of Valkeala, and to cut Highway 15 (OBJ 15), preventing the enemy from resupplying his attack force via HW15.

You, as the Battlegroup commander, are to plan the attack and conduct it according to your plan!

Weather and Terrain Conditions:

The first snow has fallen. The land is frosty, so it should not be too soft for vehicles, except the swamp areas...? Lakes are not yet frozen deep enough to support men or vehicles.

The temperature is -5 celcius, and it's snowing lightly, reducing the visibility to ~1000m.

Other:

The town of Valkeala is evacuated of any civilians, so there are no ROE limitations in this mission.

- Do not cross the marked boundaries: there is danger of casualties (mine danger zones)

- The scenario will end once the routes are cleared and objective is taken, and friendly forces is these areas are not under fire.

- Scoring is based on taking the objectives, enemy and friendly casualties with friendly casualties having priority.

And to get you on the mood, here's greetings from Roso from yesterday.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14595942/SB/Leo%20HEAT.avi

An evil T-55 is spotted by CVs and the 3 CV9030s concentrate fire on it, to designate target for the hunting Leopard. Then Leo moves in for the kill, firing DM12A2 HEAT round, destroying the poor fella. As you can see the Leo moves on the berm, but this was for the infantrymen's safety, as the closest ones were about 4 meters from the vehicle. The T-55 is the same as in the CV9030 eSim teaser video, though after yesterday the turret is dislocated. Sometimes I like my job ;)

My father, who spoke German rather well, was always making up long works like this in an attempt to be humorous. Only to find the very long word he had 'invented' was in fact the correct term. :)

Nice! :D Also, gotta love that RK 56 TP (I'm hoping that's the one) on the turret.

By the way, how do the 9030 platoons have four vehicles?

I think that means you have to bring the chocolate digestive biscuits. :)

Crusty has that covered, Tjay is bringing the Milk, and the extra sandbags on my turret are stuffed with Teabags.

We do have a requirement for hobnobs though.....

You might want to watch yourr LogPac Gib,

I hear OldRaven is very good at scrounging.

Zipster, I'll have to watch your vid later.

I'll see if I can find Hobnobs here. Can't promise anything.

I'm in no tank land here so chances are that hobnobs are also banned here.

Nice video Zip!

Ohhh I dunno then.

You'll probably end up being the tea bitch.

Tjay = RAF Standard (White, no sugar.)

Crusty = RAF Standard (How do you have your Tea, Crusty?)

Hedge = RAF Standard + 1/2 a sugar (if you can find it)

Servus,

Duke, any questions?

after nightshift the first idea, our swedish El Cid will lead the way, and you can have some fun in the town.

Zipuli your callsign WALRUS?

The other company commanders have some callsign wishes?

Best regards

Duke

That'll be white, no sugar, and if OldRaven can get Dark choc Hobnobs

that'll be perfect :)

Just a thought has the CV9030FIN got a BV?

The Swedish CV9040A/B does so I assume 9030FIN do to.
