Maj.Hans Posted September 14, 2015 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Some quick ones I snapped, one of my first times actually using the NVGs in SB: A view from the CO's tank of A company, the last tank of 1st Platoon moving up to battle positions near the East German border. What I can hear is more important than what I can see up here. The whine of M1's turbine engines all around, and M113A2's coming up behind us. Moving further north I bump into 2nd Platoon, dashing across a road on their way to secure 1st Platoon's 2nd flank. This time I can hear more than the NATO vehicles, I'm starting to hear the sound of T-64s off to the east, slowly getting louder... I tried to get some screenshots of the fighting but there were too many Soviet units and too much artillery. I wound up setting up my tank and 1st Platoon in a bad position. Good cover in two-level camouflaged emplacements on a reverse slope, but so much concealment in front of us that first shots between our M1s and the oncoming T-64Bs started at <1000 yards.
