Yes mate.

A pic of some of the JFECC guys at BG HQ and their plucky 6x6 wagon.

Had a NZ mech COY attached and had a good time looking over their LAV III's.

I must admit seeing a female FO (and LAV gunner) was a bit of a culture shock though.

Had an even better time watching the last Bledisloe Cup game though. :)

Cheers mate,

I will get some Kiwi ones done, And if you like I will try and find some shots of your Aussie ones as well.

Do you have any insignia on your guys LAV,s that make them unique to your unit?

If so send some pics of them and I will put something together for ya.. No rush just when you are able.

Well I was umpiring so they weren't "my" guys.

I general AS vehicles don't have insignia.

We do have "Tac numbers" so you know which unit it is (so all vehicles in a unit will have the same number [say "27"] on the front and back in smallish writting, say 10cm tall), but no eagles or possums (which I gather are popular over there) or somesuch.

Vehicles do follow and individual numbering / naming convention though (in line with commonwealth traditions) with RHQ vehicles starting with "0" and being named with "R" names, A Sqn vehicles starting with "1" and being named with "A" names, B Sqn with "2" and "B", C Sqn "3" and "C", D Sqn 4 and "D", Support (or headquarters) Sqn with 5 and "S" or "H".

So for example when I was OC B Sqn, my B Sqn SHQ were:

20A "Befuddled"

20B "Bewildered"

and

20C "Bemused" (mine)

The names can be based on Battle Honours, or some other standard (in my case I thought the above three were a nice spin on the Command element of the Squadron and the soldiers often commented on how aptly named they were).

Unfortunatley SB Pro / SB Pro PE in its current configuration doesn't allow for individual vehicles having unique names / numbers so the best outcome would be the Tac numbers but unless you know which unit has which number and know where to look on the vehicle I'm not sure its worth the effort.
