If any of the Fincoy dudes happened to record TS traffic, please send me the file(s)! Thanks!

I actually hit record on TS but it recorded silence. Weird. :(

The only image I managed to get:

EStqpz5.jpg

"Alpha FIN. Calm before the storm."

Duke,

That's great, many thanks. My computer suffered its first total crash since I built it last year. No apparent reason. The only thing that seems to have suffered is that my joystick software files got corrupted. But I had backups, so all is back to normal.

Do you still have the original?

If not you should be able to get it from the Red Tide page:

http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php/Red_Tide_85#Participation_Award

The end result is to merge to two single images onto a third file with both ribbons.

So you need say three "paint" (or your preferred picture editor) files open:

- The Red Tide (make a copy before you start)

- The NBG (make a copy before you start)

- The blank

Select the Red Tide ribbon and copy onto the blank

Select the NBG ribbon and copy onto the blank

You should now have a file with both ribbons?

Save this an upload it onto the signature.

Then when you get a 3rd, 4th, ... ribbon just add them to the current two ribbon bar.

No worries.

Was tempted to give you the finished replacement but then thought it better to teach you "how to fish" rather than just "give you a fish". :)

Absolutely right. As it turns out, Sean gave me a fish to tide me over and you taught me how to fish. Perfect. :)

Theres a great shaggy dog story - which many of you will already know - about how a high-flying executive on holiday comes across a young man sitting by a river, fishing. He tells him that he shouldn't be doing that at his age - he should get out into the wide world, forge a career, get rich, and then enjoy an affluent retirement.

'And what could I do with my retirement?' asks the young man.

'Well', replies the exec, 'You would then have enough free time to come and sit by this river, fishing'.
