Challenger 2 Desertised - 2 variants

Here are two variants for the CR2 in desert setting. This is a rework of my previous Op Telic skin. Colour palette has been changed to a more accurate representation of the desert tan applied to CR2 tanks during the war. Skin is based around Dejawolf stock skin, I have just added in vision blocks, CIP panels, additional decals etc. The 2 variants differ in terms of the gun - with one being desert tan and the other one black. Both of these are based on real life variants featured in Operation Telic.

First Variant - with normal gun:

You seem to have the British stuff down to a fine art!

Any chance we could see a M113 variant FV432 stand in or woodland scheme next? :P

Ah...the supersticious stuff you put on your vehicle, in the hope that the yanks won't bomb the shit out of ya ;-)

They did the exact opposite, unfortunately..

Daskal, which sound mods do you use?

The problem as always the communications fuckup.

You could here them say I think the British might use those.

Their Intel guys should have briefed them intimately:

British vehicles use these orange panels.

Iraqis do not/extremely unlikely to use orange rockets.

Americans should have supplied ALL possible frequencies that the pilots might switch to.

But the most important information/doctrinal change needed in the American air force is:

Unless 150% sure, do not fucking attack, and use minimal force necessary.

That's how we British play it.

Good :)

What are the highlight changes?

Blue Force Tracker (even in 2003, not everyone had them)

JTAC disposition - All BN's and even some Companies now have JTACs to coordinate air

Commanders Authority - Not sure if this applies to the type of mission that these guys were running, but now, to release bombs a pilot must be given a commanders authority in the form of ground commanders initials to engage.

Those are 3 fairly large items.
