daskal Posted October 26, 2014 Share Posted October 26, 2014 Exactly 70 years ago this day - 26 Oct 1944 marked the end of the biggest tank battle in Hungary during WW2 near Debrecen/Hortobagy. There are quite a few pictures taken during this event - and since we were there today just walking around, I felt tempted just to visit some of the places that were on the photos. I know from an incident very similar in 2007, South of Ramadi Iraqi. An Apache crew evacuated one of our Soldiers from the Battle of Donkey Island.
