Froggy
Ok, add to wish list:HAD Tiger, with either Mistral2 (AA missiles), Hellfire or rockets and equipped with a laser rangefinder and FCS to engage accuratly targets (including air to air) with canon and rockets (only need a 10 rounds burst to kill a moving helicopter at 1500m)
Hedgehog
Sounds Good Only need the Mistral though.
Gibsonm
(Shame I didn't have SPGs in the area, They would have swatted a hovering Huey, no trouble. (155mm AA gun) Last time, Guns handled it with more spectacular results. ) And the guys who needed that fire at the front suffered accordingly. Their job is to fire in spt of the main attack, not be distracted by such a diversion.

I suspect the kill ratio wasn't that flattering.
Hedgehog
Yes and how many ARH did young Hedge crash/ run out of fuel/ fly into buildings/ get shot down for these victories?I suspect the kill ratio wasn't that flattering. Many kills were defending your ASLAVs. I think it was exactly 50% losses overall. (I think I lost maybe 2 to enemy fire, the rest obstacle avoidance "errors".) Don't look at me! You set a route and you expect them to fly OVER the Buildings and OVER the water bodies, but noooooooo, the pilots think they know better. (I swear one was named Jebediah Kerman)
Tango29
BTW, congratulations to our Mission 2 Echelon (Kingtiger) for quickly dealing with the enemy heliborne insertion. By the time my platoon got there, the echelon had sorted out four helicopters (with, quaintly, Canadian markings!) and pretty much dealt with the few enemy personnel that got on the ground. Very quick and effective reaction: well done! Looks like I started this firestorm by not doing a detailed check. :redface:Looks like almost everyone had a go at the heliborne op: KT in the echelon, Hedge in the Arty, A coy vehicles...even an M1 from two light years down the trace. So all I can say is "Mea Culpa" and "Well Done!" to all the shooters! :cvcsalut:

(F**king AI.)So, instead of swatting these Huey's out of the air like silly flies, the buggers managed to land some troops.Still, gave Katie and I some Target Practice.
Gibsonm
Well of course if you had left the RBS-70s alone they were already setup and ready to go. Moving them didn't really gain much except they weren't ready when the helos turned up. But anyway, sounds like a great "warry" where everybody claims they were instrumental in the action.
Tango29
If we keep this thing going, by November it'll rival Rorke's Drift...with all of the VC's! :gen004:

Hedgehog
Well of course if you had left the RBS-70s alone they were already setup and ready to go. Moving them didn't really gain much except they weren't ready when the helos turned up. But anyway, sounds like a great "warry" where everybody claims they were instrumental in the action. I tactically repositioned them in plenty of time. They could have: A) Set up the SAM site B) Put the Kettle on C) Boiled said Kettle D) Drink 3 cups of tea each (With the appropriate brewing time for each cup) E) Read 50% of Katie's porn stash, which if rumours are to be believed has its own dedicated M997 HEMTT transport. But no, "Lets calmly take the thing apart and give it a clean." followed by: "Oh crap! A Hind!!" "Putittogether!Putittogether!Putittogether!" "OMGHASITSEENUS?" "IDONTWANNADIE!" *Sigh* Still, one hopes they have learned from the whole "This is not the time and place to take your primary weapons system apart" episode. But I doubt it. Mental note, Update Ribbon thingy
