Assassin 7
[Comrade Hedgehog]Not too sure you will be either when Glorious Soviet 1st MSGB turns your precious M1A2 into pincushion, and then sieve. All with humble Soviet T-72.[/Comrade Hedgehog]Remember you'd have to kill about a minimum of 3-4 times your number. And the reliability of all those fancy gadgets is questionable when its been smacked around by artillery a few times, and then, well, welcome to the Soviet World. :biggrin:We're still "progressing" our "Training".We seem to have taken a break from actual training to have Soviet vs Soviet bust ups, which are frankly, quite brutal.Still if it keeps the Comrades entertained, and I can focus on recon, I'm not complaining.Sounds like a HTH will be coming after the release.

Damian90
Other thing is that nobody knows what designation code in the end new Russian MBT based on unified heavy platform "Armata" will receive. T-99 is again someones inventions just like "Black Eagle" name which refers to the other vehicle which had the only, official designation code Object 640. AFAIK the only designation code is GABTU Object 198 and codename "Armata".
jazjar
They will most likely have the t-90 as their most advanced vehicle for quite a while. First they had that t-95, which never reached fruition, and it probably will be the same case with the 99.

Allegedly, Some of the Russian top brass think the day of the tank has passedSo there is a debate in there military as to proceed with the next gen tank or not.I guess the best they can realistically field is a T-90MS

Marko
reverse?Ha,I was jesting with dta Delta about the T-99.I have Just watched five episodes of greatest tank battles. And one can certainly make parallels between the vast differences in the quality of AFV,sBetween the combatants in WW2There is no question, The M1A2 is far superior then the T-72.The Tiger/panther was far superior to the Sherman/ T-34.But quantity has a quality of its own.SVU already takes on superior Tanks with positive outcomes. We have learned to make best Use of the T-72 strengths, And negate its weaknesses. The T-72 is not a great tank by any meansBut used correctly can be very effective.

Hedgehog
reverse?[Comrade Hedgehog]Humble Soviet T-72 only has reverse gear as an atheistic choice demanded by glorious Chief Engineer Leonid Kartsev [/Comrade Hedgehog]
Gibsonm
Hedge,You can do better than that.Just put the gun over the rear desk at 6 O’clock and then you have all the high speed forward gears available to you to “redeploy to a more politically sound position” and use the slower gears to “advance” on your Western enemies.

What happened to "Lead by Example" ?? You are describing Comrade General Markovski's approach to battle. (After all, someone needs to recruit better Soviets) CH Likes to lead from the front, it inspires the virtual troops to behave less like incompetent idiots, this policy, understandably, has mixed results. However, being small and spikey has its uses in this regard.
