I have heard that v3.0 is so different to v2.654 that when it comes out it will have a new name: 'Steel Tubes Pro PE'. This is to reflect the fact that most missions will feature only recce vehicles to spot enemy assets and artillery to destroy them. Tanks? AIFVs? Who needs 'em?:(

you can already do this with the off-map arty, with infinite ammo

this mission is from 2006...

Why would someone want to unload the mortar? In case the vehicle is damaged?

'cos you can load the 120mm faster if your movement is not constricted inside the m113 is one reason.

Another may be that your FP can not be reached with the vehicle....and so on

I have heard the fire control system is pretty poor.

But the Armour is good.

And the fire control system is being updated along with a new 40mm Gun.

The "fire control system" is MK-I "eyeball" :-P

The point is that esim stives to be as realistic as posible...so they simulated the downsides of the system too.

But It will give the UK armour their IFV and recon assets!!

(curse you bloody Tommies!! you are getting a IFV for your units while we are not getting one *grrr*)

Hope I only did think and not type that...oh bugger, I did :-/

If you are worried about the fire control on the scimitar you are probably using it wrong. Its a recon vehicle and it moves like a raped ape. It can go as fast in reverse as it can forwards and turn on a dime. The fire control is just about non existent but its still fun and you can certainly take on enemy vehicles with it as long as you don't try and punch above your weight. Your best weapon on it though is 70kph!!!.
