Zipuli
Hello! Here are few shots of the next campaign that will start next Sunday... The bigger one shows the next campaign map ("Haune Valley" with 1st mission area marked with blue) - the other one shows the mission area and Bn plan. The situation is something like this: The tension between fictious states blue (danish equipment etc.) and red (soviet equipment) has increased lately - both sides have armies on the move and ready for war. The war has not yet started, yet is't clear to all that it will start as the negotiations have ended and armies mobilized. If the war erupts the red (Agressor in this conflict) will have a lot more forces to throw at the blue (defender) and will most likely try a to make a quick and decidive attack in this crucial sector (big map) by attacking from MAINILA in NE corner SE along the MAIN ROAD (6) to the town of KOUVOLA. The attack will be conducted soviet style and aim is to quicly overcome the defenders and seize all important targets so that blue has no option but to sue for peace (- think of Checkoslovakia 1968, but with red side not having all the blue side plans )... Currently our country has suffered of unexplainable "accidents" and deaths that have made life tad bit more difficult - including odd explosions at warehouses, power plants etc., missing high ranking military and civilian personnel... Blue units are moving to the area as we speak but are in no way strong enough to stop the attack if starts soon. So these forces are to conduct delaying action against the enemy attack along the main road. The aim is to cause the enemy so much casualties that the main defences - being prepared NE of Kouvola - can stop the attack and allow mechanized reserves to start the counterattack to destroy the weakened and overstretched enemy. At the same time guerilla units left behind will start harassing the enemy follow on forces and supplyroutes. In this campaign we are a part (Company +) of a Mechanized BG (Leo 2A5 and CV9040B). It has 2 tank and 2 mech inf companies + support (such as recce, logistics, ATGM, arty etc.). The rest of the delaying forces in the area are mainly motorized infantry/homeguards (infantry) units. Our BG is currently moving closer to Mainila to prepare for the coming war. This morning a guard platoon at MIEHIKKÄLÄ (plan map) reported suspicious action at the MIEHIKKÄLÄ power plant. After that contact was lost and sporadic small arms fire was reported from the town. The situation there is unclear, but what we know is that there has been some kind of an attack. Whether it's the reds, a terrorist attack, discontent minorities or drunken Finnish tourists is unclear. Chopper sounds were deteced few hours ago but the heavy rain prevented our forces to identify any choppers. Anyways our high command decided to make a show of force with our Mech BG and to take care of the Miehikkälä problem at the same time. The first units we have in the area are a tank company and a mech inf company (that's us!) and some artillery units. As you can see from the plan map the CO decided to move into Miehikkälä ASAP with both companies. The tank company will take positions on the hill south of the town and we will attack the town and clear it from the south. The recce and logistic units etc. will be available later (in next mission - if we're still alive)... Zip

Ghost
122_TC, it was really nice having you as CO and i was surprised that a "n00b" could do so well, although i guess your "employment history" could have something to do with that :-D

Zipuli
Actually enigma I am planning to record the whole campaign and make episodes of it - 1st mission is already on video. But time limitations (videos plus campaign missions) may prove to be a bit too much for my current scedual.Zip
