Sgt_Anzac
33/A....would detach himself and meander off into the woodsHmmmm, you say HIMSELF... How come we take for granted that esim havent implemented female drivers in the game? If that is the case, they have taken realism to new level imho, but is thar a way to turn them off in the editor? =)
IrishHussar
Hi alljust a quick update from Exercise ARRCade Fusion 2007, which is a CPX testing the proccedures that ARRC employ in Command and Signals. The ARRC orbat is huge, it includes the UK 1st Armoured Div, the German 1st Armoured Div, The Italion PDF Division and the Danish Div which also includes the Estonian "Iron Wolf Brigade. In addition there are several independant Brigades like the Polish Air Defence the 1 UK Arty Brigade and the Italian Hawk air defence brigades to mention but a few. They are involved in an imaginary conflict which is taking part over the United Kingdom, albeit fractionalized and renamed in order to represent opposing factors for the purpose of conflict. At the moment we are just breaking into the final week of week three and the 13 hour night shifts are starting to take their toll.(Im absolutley knackered)I hope to be back home next week and be able to take part in some chilled SB training till then Irish
CharlieB
I too am imersed in the world of the Giant Kingdom on ARRCADE FUSION 07. But unlike Irish who is the nice warm Excon I am stuck in a field in the exercise area getting cold and wet. Yes it has rained every day and occasionally snowed just to rub it in. It is definatly more comfy to fight battles in the comfort of my own home.Must admit I have been away for a while but that is mainly due to work and my first child arriving in approx 5 weeks time.FUSION has been an interesting Ex. I am here as part of the UKs Jt CBRN Regt which has been supporting 1 UK Armd Div and supporting the Corps HQ with CBRN specialist advice. I think it will be a long time and a way down the priority list before CBRN can be incorporated into SB. Not that I am complaining I am looking forward to getting back to a Chally 2!

12Alfa
Yeah Irish always spoils himself with comfort and let the rest be out in the shit hahaha"UKs Jt CBRN Regt" and what regiment is THAT? Strange event happened to our group in Scotland this summer. We were doing some advance pistol work at Fastlane and they would not let the Irish General enter the base. Seems that the Irish are neutral!!. And not part of NATO. Being that Fastlane is a nuke sub base he had to wait outside the gate till we we were done. Next day we had a armed guard with us, and it was not for me.... ah life in the British isles.... A great guy and lot of good info to pass onto the group, loved his beer as much as us Canadians.

Following the 1990's UK defence review it was decided that the 1st Royal Tank Regiment would re role in order to provide UK defence with a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear - detection, recce and survey capability. The Regts role is to provide Detection, Identification, monitoring and advice to the F Ech regarding CBRN matters. I think most would prefer to be in a tank but this is the job we have been given to do. http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafhonington/aboutus/jt_cbrn_regt.cfm http://www.army.mod.uk/rac/Nuclear_Biological_and_Chemical_NBC_/1st_Royal_Tank_Regiment.htm

I am however a complete novice as to online play Your welcome depending on how you want to play this sim/game, we try to play it only the real way with command structure, correct distances and missions and so on. if you just want to have fun there is other VUs for that. But if you want it real life your SB skill isnt important as we can teach you in due time /KT

stalintc
Would be great to see you for one of our Sunday get togethers. And no your not expected to have l337 comms and gunnery skills, I mean christ they let me play for a start. But is of course expected that an attempt is made to learn, thats all. Most important part of the A.R.R.C traning sessions is to have fun really while doing it at close to real as a simulation can allow you, but combining it with some good laughs at the same time
Zipuli
It doesn't matter how hard you try to be realistic and all, when most the missions end up being hysterical Zip

Most important part of the A.R.R.C traning sessions is to have fun really while doing it at close to real as a simulation can allow you, but combining it with some good laughs at the same time Lemme get this straight... This is the same ARRC that closed the door on all non-members just a couple months ago because they were lowering the unit's standards (sure sounds like ethnic cleansing to me). "Would be great to see you for one of our Sunday get togethers."????? "And no your not expected to have l337 comms and gunnery skills." ???? I assume Stalin means "you're not" ..... his command of English is below my standards. Although he does seem able to speak out of both sides of his mouth, which is not an easy skill to acquire HT
Kingtiger
We have closed the door, max 1 non-arrc member per arrc session by just that reason. Then that Stalin and Ghost or someone else fools around a bit before or after the game is hardly a concern. Ingame they behave as they should.Big difference there./KT

Although he does seem able to speak out of both sides of his mouth, which is not an easy skill to acquire  ......................."And no your not expected to have l337 comms and gunnery skills." ????HTThats correct, basically a statement to say we are not up our own ass, any skill level can join.. I for one am not the best gunner and I still work on my comms, I am by no means an ace and like everyone else continues to learn. Being part of the unit is a big learning experience for us all having the likes of Irish, Kingtiger and Zipuli being recently active\currently active military personel.I by no means implied that hedgehog was not good at gunnery and comms more a friendly invitation, and as KT says we have closed doors bar the odd person, we only have a limit on how many non unit members can join in play due to the 8 player limit of which unit members take priority on the slot. Why is my use of the English language being picked on? what the hell has that got to do with anything might I ask?I am really quite confused and disgruntled as to why im being picked at here....
HotTom
LOL!Dammit, Stalin, I hate it when you make me laugh in mid-rant!I just think you guys ought to get your story straight. It's not about an 8 player limit (Sean is almost always there). In fact, there have been many Sundays when you couldn't get 8 of your members to show up. And it's not about time zones. And it's not about commo skill or gunnery skill. What it's really about belongs on PMs only.HT
stalintc
I really dont see what the problem is.Like I said, "what the hell has my use of the English language got to do with this?" I would like an answer to that question, because to be quite honest with you I find that pretty offensive to mock how I present my iterations by post.Dont bother sending PM's about this im not interested in pursuing the guidelines laid down by the unit leaders any further and will not reply to the matter any more. Its really quite petty bullshit to be honest. Plucking out one of my posts and picking it apart at random. Just who the f**k do you think you are anyway? Why pick on me? what have I done to you exactly?Nice to know someone finds me f**king funny for no reason.
