Panzer_Leader
OK, I think we might be getting both the T-64A and a T-64B (screenshots 08-10). Am I imagining things or can anyone confirm?
VKing
From what little I can tell of the T-64, the gun sights are the A-model in all the screenshots.

Marko
I was hoping for a playable T-55 or 62. That,s 95% of my wish list completed and the T- 64 was the icing on the cake. A 1970,s era cold war campaign is a reality. A very big Thank you Esim.

Captain_Colossus
A model doesn't have smoke dischargers, the B does (?)That's not necessarily the distinction, T-64A can have smoke launchers. The dischargers can simply be moved around or removed as needed, for example, T-64 with ERA kit. It may be the case that the T-64A in Steel Beasts doesn't have smoke launchers, but this is incidental rather than an identifying feature.

Especially without context.Anyway, nice to see the T-64 in SB!
Captain_Colossus
I think the T-64 with the flipped out gill armor is supposed to be the T-64A, although that's not necessary to be a T-64A, either. A lot of the important changes with the T-64B are changes that aren't going to be as visually apparent.

Marko
Yeah, what's up with that? The soviets fitted gill Armour as a way to reduce weight. And help defeat heat warheads. It was replaced in later models i don't think it was a success.I cant wait to see how it fares against the Leo A5 GE.As a soviet Armour enthusiast this update is the best yet.
Jartsev
Yeah, what's up with that?Folding screens were intended to provide protection against HEAT warheads coming from the front(+/-30 degrees) to the hull sides. They worked well in this role, but were useless against threats coming from the others sectors, so continuous reinforced rubber skirts were introduced(this measure also reduced dust clouds on the move). Its very interesting to note, that new skirts were planned to be used together with old "gills", but this never happened in real life.Edit: typos
