Members Ssnake
Today it's a bit about the new or updated maps. I didn't illustrate the new Paderborn map that will be coming, thanks to the untiring efforts of user "Manteuffel" who's been manually editing the whole region for the past two or three years.Zipuli's map is also about as detailed as it gets by manual editing. One of the tasks (for us) in the coming 12 months is to make it easier to fill the terrain with traffic signs and other small "clutter" without having to place each by hand. Otherwise I don't think that the level of detail could be increased substantially in broad regions on the map (rather than a few, tiny islands that might have everything).

Scrapper_511
Thanks for the new pics. Those maps look very immersive and I am amazed by the amount of work that went into them. What units might have fought in these regions during the 80's?

Those maps look very immersive and I am amazed by the amount of work that went into them. What units might have fought in these regions during the 80's?To the south, it would have been the BAOR. Here it would have been the Bundeswehr up to about a further 40km to the north, then the Britons, the Dutch, and the Germans again.

Kingtiger
What does the green/Yellow/Red bar in the low right corner indicate/mean? http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/sbgallery/main.php?g2_itemId=17715
Tread_Head57
What does the green/Yellow/Red bar in the low right corner indicate/mean? http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/sbgallery/main.php?g2_itemId=17715Good question. I've used the Javelin and don't remember seeing those.
Kingtiger
Well that part of the screen is a generic User interface, so its pretty much always the same, so those bars should be there no matter what vehicle/weapon system you man. And thats what got my interest
Moderators Volcano Posted June 6, 2013 Moderators Share Posted June 6, 2013 What does the green/Yellow/Red bar in the low right corner indicate/mean? http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/sbgallery/main.php?g2_itemId=17715That is part of a yet unmentioned feature. Let the speculation commence!!!! :sonic:
Gibsonm
If you say "health bars" or some such - I'm out of here!
Members Ssnake
What does the green/Yellow/Red bar in the low right corner indicate/mean?They indicate the fatigue level of infantry (which in turn dictates how fast they can run).
Hedgehog
They indicate the fatigue level of infantry (which in turn dictates how fast they can run).Kewl.Is this applied to (Human) Loaders as well?Or at least plans for this?

Tjay
They indicate the fatigue level of infantry (which in turn dictates how fast they can run). That surely makes them 'health bars' in computer game speak. Sad to lose such an emminent member of the community, but I expect we shall survive.
TankHunter
They indicate the fatigue level of infantry (which in turn dictates how fast they can run).So infantry can respond to different speed settings based on a route order now? Have there been any changes as regards whether infantry follow formations? Could we put them in column behind a tank for example?
Members Ssnake
Your speculation is amazing - but wrong. I only mentioned fatigue levels and different movement speeds and said nothing about squad formations. Sure, they will come - but not this time.
Marko
Some new interesting pics the Ulan looks great. Not sure what's happening with the BMP_2 no change to the model. But its not specified if it will be playable or not.
Companion
no mention of BMP-2 being crewable but "new engine" hmm... just a showcase for lighting/shadow?And how does target tracker in Ulan work? simply lock the current turret traverse speed? The name at least sounds interesting

Marko
Well the Infantry weapon ports are open ... Do not get what you mean Gibsonm. The ports can be opened in the current version.
Members Ssnake
Like I wrote, the model remains unchanged over older versions. I just put it in here for comparison with the other vehicles, so you know what kind of quality to expect as a "worst case".
