Wishing for a function in map editor...

Recommended Posts

I am currently making a new alteration of the Beedenbostal terrain map, where I have the high water level at 11m & everything lower than that underwater. It would be very nice if we had a function where we could turn all areas of 11m elevation into water or vise versa :)

Hello DarkAngel, I have a question about the fill feature in the Map Editor because it seems that it doesn´t work properly. How it works, because in the SB manual doesn´t explain?

Thanks

A flood fill will replace the terrain type under the mouse cursor with the selected terrain type, with a height variation from the clicked point as set with the hopefully self-explanatory controls shown in your screenshot.

Notice that for each terrain type a mask can be applied (click the upper right hand corner square in the terrain type to make it turn red (or transparent again). A masked terrain type is "locked", you can't paint it over, not even with a flood fill. Double-click a mask square to invert the mask settings of all terrain types in the palette.
