VegasGeorge
My new PC Laptop has a row of multi-media keys across the top that double as optional function keys. I've discovered that I can go through the BIOS to switch their priority and make them function keys doubling as optional multi-media keys. Or, I can leave them as they are, and use the option key in conjunction with them every time I want to switch views. Incidentally, I tried assigning the multi-media keys to switch views in SB control, but it wouldn't accept them. I suppose I could just use an external keyboard with traditional function keys. So, how do you other laptop players out there handle this? Thanks!
ChazFarote
Can you map them as regular keys? That's what I would try.Or remap the regular keyboard to meet your needs. This is what I do on my laptop for other games.
Gibsonm
So, how do you other laptop players out there handle this? Thanks!Or just do what the machine expects. So if you need to press say "Fn + F6" to get F6, just do that.
Mousehold
I've discovered that I can go through the BIOS to switch their priority and make them function keys doubling as optional multi-media keys.If you're planning to play Steel Beasts or any games that make regular use of the function keys, this will be the most convenient solution.
