oscar19681
I wonder if the tiles pose a threat to nearby infantry when a rpg hits the skirts.
12Alfa
I wonder if the tiles pose a threat to nearby infantry when a rpg hits the skirts.Well as I'm learning, the grunts are not that stupid:debile2:. They have learned (the hard way:decu:) that it's not a smart thing to hang out past the center of the MBT when it's firing the big gun. So I think after a few times they will learn not to hang out near the tiles.

TankHunter
A BFG shooting should cause a large amount of overpressure one would think.
Tacbat
Plus you probably wouldn't want a piece of the discarding sabot smacking into the back of your head. Would tend to ruin your day.
GH_Lieste
Judging by the spall marks on the outside of a RPG penetrated APC the actual impact of an RPG on a tank isn't likely to be too healthy for nearby infantry either - I estimate it would be roughly as dangerous as a 40mm grenade 'airbursting' (as the armour doesn't really absorb much of the fragmentation, while soil etc does) - perhaps a 5m effective radius?
