Grenny
Just a small handout from me IOT to help using and in some cases understanding artillery in SB. I'd like to thank Tjay for helping me to get rid of many of my mistakes in the english language, and for his general help and advice. Arty guide for SBproPE.zip
Gibsonm
Grenny and Tjay, Thanks. Perhaps a couple of typos to iron out “popper field manual study” ? re the FO / JFT you might want to add the safety aspect now given that the old tell tale red boxes at no longer displayed at higher difficulty levels. There are a couple of other semantic issues but they tend to reflect differences in respective national characteristics.

Any more that you've come across? Typos etc. are down to me. Grenny supplied the expertise; I did the editing and proof reading. Not very well apparently.

pawade
The article is very good, and had a lot of useful information. Can anyone help me properly use the infantry mortars 60-81mm accurately, especially finding the range from the site position F2?
EMiner
I read this in the article: "In SB, the only rocket artillery available is the 122mm HE, 40 tube ‘Grad’ system.". How exactly can this be either placed on the map or called from off-map. I don't see any reference to it under "New Unit" or "Support"...I'd really like to try it out. Thanks
Tacbat
Place a unit on the map from under the artillery menu.
Gibsonm
In the Mission Editor, select new unit. From the Artillery section select BM-21You should then see an icon on the map reflecting the size unit you configured. Then in the support menu allocate ammunition so it has something to fire. Also allow non spotter units to call in a mission.Click on “Test” (you will probably be asked to save the mission first). Then when the mission loads pick the side you gave the BM-21 to.Right click on the map and setup the mission.Pick a location to watch and go to the 3D view.Wait for the countdown to run down.

Grenny
I really love the BM-21..."grad" its GRAU-index number (9K51 GRAD)...where grad means "hail" or "hailstrom"(?) in russian. I name that I find quiete fitting.Too bad that the 9M22D warhead is not modeled :-(

Maybe the Markowski regiment will designate a player as chief agitator to incite the masses against you capitalist oppressors.
