Any word on Particle Effects?

Recommended Posts

Just noticed after firing up 3.0 that flame sprites are still used when MBT's are firing their main guns...

It looks so out of place now that the world and vehicles are so richly detailed.

Any word when we will see an update to 3.0 for the particle effects?

Thanks.

The particles you have are what you are going to get *at least* until the next upgrade AFAIK. It was intended as an improvement, not as the final replacement never to be touched again. ;)

Ditto to what Enigma said. I had voted for new graphical effects in a poll earlier this year. Though what we got may not be the latest and greatest in graphics technology, it is, however, quite sufficient to keep SB from looking too dated. I'll be happy with these effects until the next upgrade. Good job eSim Games!

I'm perfectly happy with the current graphics.

I'm not saying that I want development to completely freeze in this area, just that I'm here more for the ability to have big tank on tank scenarios with accurately modeled vehicles.
