TEWT night!

Had nine in all, including Hedge from the other side of the world.

We had two solutions proposed to the published problem, one from a first timer / recent returnee.

Both solutions offered "strengths and weaknesses" and everybody found them challenging / enjoyable.

AARs:

The M1A2 SEP with CITV disabled as a stand in for our real life M1A1 AIM SA worked out as an excellent proxy.

Then on top of this we had the new and improved uniform mod with brown boots and low res shoulder flashes.

All in all everybody seemed to have a good time.

So now next week is "H2H Night" with Fulda Gap Mission #4:

"1986 Fulda Campaign scn4-627.sce"

Hope you can make it!

Yeah, had a really great session last night and was good to see new members stepping up to complete the TEWT and lead the team. It was also really nice to see such a balanced mix of Aussies and Kiwis, beginners and veterans, military and civilian, and drop-ins from our European friends. The Reuters cameraman embedded with 11 last night has also said he will publish a couple of live action snaps later this evening or tomorrow.

Looking forward to another Cold War reprise next week!

Ditto, One-one Charlie!

Had a great time and learnt a lot, first SB MP since 2007, so was rusty on lots of stuff (including which key had been set to mute TS), but it is a welcoming and patient group, so any other southern hemispherics please join in.

I took a bunch of screens in the second run-through while I was observer to 11, so will post a few.

Hectic scenario in a town filled with crazy-brave and well-dressed civvies, as well as some die-hard baddies. Lots of surprises from RPGs, IEDs and bunkers and a real need to avoid civilian casualties. Could I help it if some civvy in a Volvo drove into the side of my M113, clearly parked in the middle of a road during a firefight?

Had a great evening rolling around the countryside in the Gunner's then Commander's seat of the M1A2 SEP (aka M1A1 AIM).

BZ to Smithcorp for a great first effort leading the Platoon Team (Boundaries are for chumps). Panzer's effort built on what was learned on the first runthrough and went off quite well.

There isn't much you can't solve with a 120mm round.

Really enjoyed the fact the team had a good time. Got some really good feedback on the scenario and will be building it into the next couple in the series.

really enjoyed the co-op between the CS and how there was a lot of watching each others back...
