Rolling Thunder: Operation Rising Bear - Manning List

No,i mean changing Hector for Pegasus, nobody is on Pegasus and Tacom has no unit in Hector group.Anyways we wait to see if someone wants Pegasus.

Tacom can have a section of tanks or a section of infantry in any of the troop/platoons. Do not worry if you see only one name in these organizations: more players can join. For example, Tacom is welcome to join me in T22: he will have two tanks and I will have the other two. Or he can join you in T21 and we can have a Spanish troop in the Cdn CT. We could have up to 16 players in CT HECTOR: four in each of the troop/platoons, and four in the CT Headquarters. Lots of room for more players! :)

Absolutely!

I didn't mean to imply that the positions I listed were the only ones available.

Potentially each vehicle can have a commander, gunner and driver.

I just listed the "key appointments" for the skeleton.

The ones in bold are the "vital key appointments" if that makes sense.

Its just that currently some skeletons are better fleshed out than others.

So the German CT has almost every tank manned compared to the US with currently very light manning and the Aviation where there's no one.

So ideally we fill in priority order:

"vital key appointments"

"key appointments"

"others"

But some people don't have the skills /confidence to fill a "vital key appointment" or a "key appointment", so more than happy for them to fill in where they can.

However, it will be a less than ideal experience (translation = chaotic mess) if those spots in bold aren't filled too.

I'm not panicing yet as there remains quite a few people in the "unallocated" group at the end of the second post:

People yet to choose

Germans CT ACHILLES: Induction

US CT ODYSSEUS: dta delta, Connaugh, Rotareneg, enigma6584

UK CT PERSEUS: Crusty, Tjay, Bogusheadbox, Volcano, CR2 Commander

Canadians CT HECTOR: 12Alfa, Tacom

Once those people read the thread and make their decision we will be better placed to work out if we need to move people around or maybe scratch a CT if its not viable (not my preferred option) and adjust the missions accordingly.

Sorry for beeing, late. Didn´t realize we had to take possitions. Reminder: Have to read sloooooowly.

I will take any position where I am needed. Meanwhile, I can assist Tango29 in his platoon and be ready to take it from him in case he has to command the CT.

So CT HECTOR, T22, 2IC.

The only requirement is an English speaking CT.

Out.

Done.

I had hoped that the UK and US were in a huddle somewhere working out their respective line ups and going to give me their lists in one go (a bit like what the Germans did), but if your post indicates that its up to individuals to nominate for slots then I'm wondering what the delay is all about.

Anyway ...

Well all the ones with "Vacant" next to their names in the first two posts.

As people put their hands up I go back and modify those two so they reflect the current situation.

I guess if I assume that the UK and US eventually nominate (i.e. those eight currently "unallocated" names are allocated), then Engineers and Helos are the next priority.

Since I am a bit rusty I can take recovery and breaching.

Can I ask what units type you are using for the breach and recovery?

Sold.

From memory its the Wisent with or without plough.

So the ones with out plough can "just" recover.

The ones with plough can recover and breach.

The CTs have limited capability built in (CT 2ICs responsibility to use) but for the bigger activities, say the delay or if there is going to be a CT attack through a minefield then they can ask me for addtional assets.

If that happens (or if they forget I'll just allocate anyway). Then you with your guys go forward and augment the CTs resources.

Don't worry you wont be idle in some rear area all night. :)

Hi Mark.

I'll take 29A and 22 please.

Done.

In 22 with CR Commander

I'm thinking Hoggydog might make you "23" but that's up to him to do the fine adjustment. :)

If you've put CR Commander down for 22 then 23 if fine :)

I've put Volcano into T12 given his desire to experience more "CR2 awsomeness".

I should be able to attend, and if so, then I will play with the UK (I want to experience the awesomeness of the CR2). ;)
Well, I am used to playing in the T-72, so to me the CR2 is very awesome. ;)

Oh they're our Motars?

I thought they were for Tac/Grenny use?

Well they belong to your CT (hence why they are on the CT's graphic).

The CT belongs to the BG.

If you aren't using them then yes they will be part of the BG fireplan.

Because of their limited range they'd probably be shooting in support of you anyway.

If the BG doesn't need them, then they are yours.

Of course if you leave them parked in the Assy Area because no one is moving them then you wont get their fire because they will be out of range.

Just like if I was the CT OC I'd probably like the Javelins (I think that is what we gave them) that Anti Armour Platoon has to boost your section anti armour weapons (LAW 80 or similar).

Especially given that its an "Infantry heavy" CT with a single tank Troop.

Crewing duties for CT Perseus, are provisional for now, obviously as the tactical situation becomes more known we can look at what priority units need crewing.

Bogus is a provisional for now due to work commitments but put him in -64. and Tjay is no longer available.

No worries - updated. :)

Of course you can move people around as required (and as fatigue sets in).

You and Crusty were the key ones to lock in.

Now just need to pin down those Americans. :)

Not quite right.

2 x AVLB "Biber"

2 x Wisent - no ploughs

4 x Wisent - ploughs
