Challenger 2 simulator that does not come wth a driver position ?

I just heard that the Challenger 2 simulator does not come with a driver position. Is this true ?

For me it does not make much sense for the designers of the simulators to leave out such an essential position.

It depends on which simulator you're on about. The PTT (Part Task Trainer) is just a gunners position for training. The Turret Gunnery Trainer (TGT) is a full gunners and commanders mock up and the ones in the Combined Arms Tactical Trainer (CATT) is a full mock up including the drivers position. Then there is the driver training simulator, drivers position only.

Seems to be a proven system.

We use the same sim-types :-)

we only have turret trainer (ETT), driver trainer (EP), and crew trainer (SEE), the 2 laters are moving platform. 4 Crew trainers can be linked to form the platoon trainer (SEP).

And if we want more, we rend the CATT at Warminster or at Sennelager.

commands and caracteristics are vehicule specific; visually Challenger 2 is replaced by AMX40 (even they argue it was a Leclerc mod...), but still running at 25km/h in cross crountry.

It's about funding, do we make a driver's station or do we use better graphics to train the commander and gunner? That's the main reason we don't see many full-crew simulators.

If you had an unlimited budget, why even use a simulator? Just use that cash to pay for fuel and ammunition.
