OnAlienware
After additional play, I can say the performance still isn't optimal. Turning off v-sync seems to be a helpful work-around for an underlying performance issue, but not a true fix. Is it a known issue? Thanks
smithcorp
Mate, I turned off volumetric clouds and turned down a few other eye candy settings (Alt+G I think) when I had some frame-rate problems and then re-introduced them. i think it was the clouds and shadow settings that were the key for me.
Members Ssnake
Did you ever give us your computer's specs in this thread (like model of your graphics card, driver version, chosen screen resolution for SB Pro, Graphics and Detail setting in SB, CPU model, amount of RAM)?What are your frame rates with VSync off? Also, we should probably use some standardized scenario to measure the frame rates. The gunnery range would normally deliver optimal frame rates throughout everything, so let's try that one first.
